Hi! We're a DM and 3 players looking for 1-2 players to join us on a long-term campaign, Tuesday nights 7pm-10/11pm UK time! The campaign is set to focus a lot on exploration, survival, and adventure! There is more information available upon request if you're struggling to make a decision, but we hope you like the sound of it and look forward to hearing from you. Looking to start within the next 2-3 weeks or so depending on how quickly we fill up the slots. The only definite class one of us want to play is an Artificer but beyond that we're pretty much good for anything. Here's a brief description of the campaign: Level Range 2-14, 4-5 Players The starting Year is 1065 AL (After
Liberation)- the campaign starts from the Cera settlement in Walha. Whether you
are a new recruit from Cera, a native of Walha, or a prisoner, spy, or shipwrecked
stranger from elsewhere in the old world, due to the policy of information
quarantine, you are one of the settlers now. “In the settlement, it does not matter
where you are from; if you serve well and can be trusted, you shall rise in the
ranks. Wherever you are from, whoever you are, this is your opportunity, this
is your chance. It will not be easy, it will not be quick, but once you’ve
proven yourself, the one constant is the reward.” Description of the Campaign When the rest of the known world plunged
itself into a bloody cycle of wars thirty years ago, the leaders of the Kingdom
of Cera sighed in relief. While the larger nations warred against each other,
the little Cera, no threat to anyone, was able to survive thanks to the
surrounding chaos. Unfortunately, the nature of chaos is unpredictable, and the
royal family knew that the luck of Cera would run out - sooner rather than
later. The little island nation needed a miracle, or within a generation or a
few, surely one greater power or another would turn their greedy eyes towards
the unfortunate islanders. And a miracle they found, as but a year ago
one of the Cerean warships delivered a message: they'd discovered a new land,
unmentioned in any maps before. The discovery was confirmed, and the existence
of the new world became a taboo. Those who were deemed loyal were spared, and
those whom the queen deemed untrustworthy she ordered executed. The information
was valuable to Cera only as long as they were the only ones aware of it. Within the year, the Cerean naval force was
nearly doubled. Yet, as most of it now was stationed at the continent of Walha,
intercepting and destroying any and all ships from the old world, Cera was left
more vulnerable than ever. This meant that the people sent to Walha needed to
proceed with haste. Unfortunately, the new continent proved to be a beast
ill-suited for domestication. A precious little is known of the Walha; it
seems to mostly be untamed wilderness, but at least one greater kingdom lies on
the other side of the continent. Not much else can be said thus far - it is on
the brave adventures taking on the task of uncovering the secrets of this new
world. However, as secrecy is the main priority still, the journey to the West
is one way only. Only those proven to be unyielding friends to the Royal family
may be allowed to leave, meaning that everyone who brave the voyage is prepared
to fight for glory or die trying. Style of the game
Dawn on the New World is a Sandboxy
adventure campaign where players can engage in various styles of play on the
continent of Walha, though adventuring will be featured heavily. But it is up
to players whether they want to map out the wilds, delve into dungeons, fight
the attacks against the settlements or even test their hand at diplomacy, as
long as they prove useful, they'll earn the favour of the queen. And, should
they prove worthy of earning their right to return home (if they are from Cera
and not from Walha), they can brave what has come of the old world. Thanks! :)
