Thinking of running a 4e Eberron Game

A recent move has limited my real life gaming and I am thinking of running another game on Roll20. This is a game I started to run a few years ago on a PbP game but it died and I would like to explore it a bit more if people are interested. It would be Central Time Zone, maybe 7 or so on Mondays. 1st level 4e D&D set in Eberron...any takers?
I might be interested in playing. What materials do you plan on allowing when making characters?
How long were you planning on having the sessions be? I would be interested potentially.
If it is printed for 4e it is fine to use. I have the character builder plus tons of homebrew stuff if any one wants something a bit different. Really anything is cool with me as long as you can make it fit with Eberron. Cespinar: I was thinking 3 to 4 hours hopefully, so 7 to 10/11 my time, that way I still get some sleep for work but we have a good chuck of time to get some stuff done.
Am intrested in joining I have nothing to do on mondays.
If people have character ideas, might help to toss them out.
Not a big fan of 4e but I'd give it a try.
I'd be totally down to play. I'm not terribly experienced with 4e, but I've read over the materials and have a good bit of experience with D&D in general, so it should all work out. Any time works for me, as long as I know a day or so ahead of time.
Am maybe planning on making a Warforged character.
I'm thinking Warforged Barbarian.
I'd like to join up if there's still room... I have a shifter (razorclaw) ranger rolled and ready to go.
Would it help if I created a character first? I've only played a little DnD, back in 3e, but I just found this website and I'm trying to get started. If you don't want to take on someone with as limited experience as me, I understand, however I would appreciate being pointed in the direction of material to read so that I can be ready in the future. Thanks!
I would think about running a controller or a Sorc|Lord
Looks like we have enough interest to at least move forward a bit. Since I am pretty used to how a Play by Post (PbP) gets player sorted out so I will be going along those lines. Any one who is interested in playing, and can play at the time that I was talking about 7-7:30 to 10/11 pm Mondays Central time, should go ahead and make a character. I would like a short write up of backstory/personality as well as a image to use as a token (I can make these if the images are provided) and a character sheet. Since they are first level characters that doesn't sound so bad. Also I have two house rules for 4e D&D: 1. Everyone starts with the Versatile Expertise feat for their choice of weapons as a bonus as well as their normal 1st level feat. 2. Every Encounter you get an Action Point, this keeps us from having to do any of the milestone book keeping. If people could email those things and make a post in here with at least the basics (Name/Class/Race), my email is jmfelber@gmail.com @Zachary: New people are great, if you want to put together an app then please do. If you have any other questions let me know.
Ok I have my character idea. Roland Graylander Level 1 Human Paladin of the God Boldrei
I'm down Leodak Duskwalker Level 1 Eladrin Rogue (trickster-ish build)
I love you for versatile Expertise. That is my favourite feat by far. I am quite interested assuming it isnt filled. From the previous posts, I see 2 melee single target strikers, a controller/leader and a defender. So its looking like straight up leader is needed?
I happen to have a Warforged Artificer at level 1 ready to play, and would take me all of 20 minutes to get it a working PDF of my character sheet if I get the go ahead.
Sorry for the spam, Apparently you can't edit a post on this -_- Either way, I sent the PDF and bio to you.
I am making a controller tonight and sending it in. Is there a location you want us to be at for starting the campaign?
Yeah I have mentioned it to the people who have emailed me, should probably mention it here. The game will start with all the players, who more then likely do not know each other, on a Lighting Rail travelling from Sharn to Wroat.
this sounds like a good game can i make a Lycanthrope? would be human werebear clr lvl 1 balador deity
As a recap, so far we have a Warforged Barbarian, a Warforged Artificer, an Eladrin Rogue, a Human Paladin, a Razorclaw Shifter Ranger, an unknown Controller and a Werebear? That seems like an awful lot of people.
Well there aren't really werebears in 4e that I know of...but there are shifters @Galen, not everyone is getting in. People put together application for the character and I pick the ones that fit the party/adventure the best.
After looking at what other people are rolling, I clearly made the correct choice in builds. I hope I don't break anything ;)
Sent my character sheet and backstory just now. Even if I don't manage to play in this, at least I'll have something for Eberron in the future. Basic info: Edric Ardan Human Wizard
So far i have gotten emails from six people. A few haven't finished up the background character sheets. If we can get those done I should be able to get things rolling. Anyone who hasn't emailed me and is interested should do so.
I would love to join tonight if you still have room. i sent an email with my number.
Dominick, just go ahead and work up a character and send me the character sheet, a short background and why your character would be travelling between Sharn and Wroat. I will be picking the party in a day or so
People have until the end of the week to get me stuff.
Sorry to say this but some things have come up and my schedule has lost a lot of it's free time. Maybe things will settled down but for now I can't put the time into this that it deserves. Sorry all.
