Allow GM to hide all there activity from Players, without have to /gm roll

I GM pf2, which means for secret checks, i have to /talktomyself and then click on their character sheet to do the roll (which means I am forever in /talktomyself), but this doesn't get saved to the chat archive.  Having to /gm roll , and type in the function each time, will take up too much time. I want what I roll saved to the archived chat, not shown to players, but I want to not have type the formula each time.   please make it so that we are able to toggle whether or not to show what a GM is interacting with / typing (for notes), especially since it is easier to click a button on a character sheet than typing out the formula each time. thanks
Would making a global macro that is /talktomyself that you can toggle work for you?  Would always be up and at a push of a button, no token selected needed.
