Why is disabling the grid the ONLY way to stop snapping?

Why can't I have a grid turned on but keep tokens from auto-aligning? I feel like this WAS a feature in the past and I've been a Pro member for a few years now.

Hold down ALT while you place the token... ...is that what you're looking for?
I only have use of one hand so those kinda tricks are out.

Feels like something where Roll20 could provide some help with another method. I wonder if a multi-button, programmable mouse could help. Program button 4 or 5 to be your "ALT" button, and hold it while you drag the token around?
I don’t believe Roll20 has any built-in accessibility features like this. It is definitely something that would be worth creating a Suggestion for or submitting a Help Center request to get more traction on.  In the meantime, would Sticky Keys be an option? That way you could select the Alt key, then move the mouse to place the token with the same hand.

I suggest using "Is Drawing" to ignore snap to grid.  Right click on the object Hover on Advanced Click Is Drawing Warning: this token is now a drawing and will be deleted if you use the Draw (art tools) command "Clear Drawings & Text"

Reportedly, Jumpgate will eventually be separating out some of the features like Snap to Grid from "Is Drawing". Or perhaps replacing altogether. I'm not sure what the details are, though.
Thanks for the tips, everyone. Tim, I just bought a 12 button mouse recently and am learning to "one mouse do-it-all" as we speak, and Gauss that works and I'll probably use that. Jarren, did you just make me consider a pro column entry for Sticky Keys? lol Keith, I guess I need to keep an ear out?  Appreciate it!
