Force unique character names

The roll button has issues when there are two or more character sheets with identical character names (it references the wrong sheet and ignores modifiers). Adding field validation and enforcing unique names would stop this from happening.

Which roll button does that? Not sure what you mean by "roll button" in this case.  Every character in Roll20 has a unique ID already, which seems to be what you are asking for.  Having 2 characters named "Bob" is normally not a problem for dice rolls in Roll20, since, as you suggested, they technically have unique ID's associated to their Character Sheet + Linked Token in the background anyway.

Hi Gold,  Actually this is a problem sometimes. Not all rolls use unique ID, many just pull the character name.  For example, the D&D 5e by Roll20 character sheet can have problems with whisper settings if there are two characters with the same name. I have brought up this issue with the Devs in the past. I think it is a good idea to at least provide a warning if there are two characters with the same name.

We're using custom roll parsing  for the majority of our roll buttons. I'll need to do some testing to confirm, but it may be that is the key to replicating this issue.
