Grid weirdness

I'm trying to set up a map in jumpgate. The image is one jpg downloaded from the Internet and loaded into roll20. It was placed on the map layer. However, the grid only appears in one section of the map. I don't know why. I also don't know why one section of it is showing up darker than the rest. Here's the original jpg: Here's a screenshot of how it appears in Roll20: Can anyone explain this? Even better, can someone explain how to fix it? Thx
I haven't had a chance to do any Jumpgate testing myself yet, but from watching the Announcements post and seeing what people have been noting so far, I believe this is intended behavior: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/11843344/the-jumpgate-beta-for-pro-users-has-arrived/?pageforid=11858159#post-11858159 For the GM, we now show the area that is hidden from players by showing that area of the map layer of the page as semi-transparent (similar to the effect we use for the GM Layer). This should make it easier to align the map to the edges of the page and also make it clearer to the GM what is or isn't visible to players. That darker section should be the area that is visible to your players. There should be a setting somewhere to adjust the size of the visible 'page area'.

Hi Saul! I am guessing that if your page settings are at the default of 25x25 cells, that map is probably vastly oversized. I'm guessing it was likely created with a print intent of 300dpi. Most maps get by with 70 pixels per cell. The maximum you should ever need is 175 pixels per cell (70 pixels x 250% maximum zoom). Anything more than that would never be seen. If you have the capability of downsampling it before uploading, you would get generally better performance. And Jarren has the right of it. In Jumpgate, the area outside of the page dimensions is still visible to the GM, but unseen by players. It will be a handy place to store hidden tokens.
The original map was 72 pixels per inch and the size is 55.89x99.56. When I dropped it onto the map, the system asked me if I wanted to adjust the page size to fit the map, and of course, I said "yes". However, when I just checked the size, as per keithcurtis' comment, the size in Roll20 was set at 25x25 cells. I changed it to the correct size and that fixed the problems. Thank you. The upshot is that, apparently, the system can't handle large maps properly.
