Load Performance Issue

So... I have a campaign that I have been running for quite some time now... I know now that I should have broken this into smaller chapters, and I plan to do that moving forward, but I have everything running and prepared to finish out this section (2-3 more sessions), so moving to a new campaign is not something I want to specifically tackle right now if at all possible. I am asking though to see if there is some way to aid in load performance. I have archived all of the maps not being used (unfortunately they are in an area where I need to have several maps prepped and ready, some are reasonably large). I have archived all of the irrelevant handouts and character journals, but again I still have quite a few there. I have a pretty solid connection and strong PC, but it takes long enough that often Chrome will pop up a message asking me to wait or kill the session. If I wait, it will come up after a relatively short time (30ish seconds), however one of my players needs to hit the wait button several times before it comes up (slower connection and PC). Short of trying to transmogrify everything over to a new campaign, is there anything else I can do to try to improve load performance that I may not have already done? Thanks! Kevin
Looking at the console log, I noticed that there are always 1 or 2 files that take a huge amount of time to load... however I don't think it is the same files each time... There is one markeplace asset that seems to take 40s alone to load... but if I click the link directly it comes down very fast, so not sure what to make of that. (I can provide the link to it, but not sure if I should link it here in the forums).

It looks like your campaign is fine from a size standpoint but something is taking awhile to load. I don't think it is an image. I will forward this to the Devs.
Thanks Gauss, appreciate the assistance!
How many Jukebox tracks do you have added?
Zero Jukebox tracks.
As a note, I only have the standard deck and 1 rolltable.
Okay, I'll take a really close look at this tomorrow when I get a chance and hopefully I can figure out what's going on.
Thanks! Appreciate the help!
Okay so after looking at this, your campaign is a whopping 17MB in size data-wise, which is really, really large. Most clock in at around 4 - 5 MB. So the reason it's taking so long to load is because downloading and processing all that data takes a while. So to answer the original question, you just have a lot of stuff in there. As you said, 40+ maps, about a hundred characters each with 30+ attributes and abilities, that all really adds up. The good news is that other than the original processing time to load all that data, it seems like the interface is really handling it pretty well. There are some things I am going to look into doing on our end (e.g. moving some of that loading to a non-UI-blocking thread) that will help. But at the end of the day if you want that much data in a single campaign, there's going to be a pain point in terms of loading it up. I think your best bet is just to finish out your last couple of sessions as you said, and then in the future try to split it up more when possible. But I will keep this campaign on file as a test to see if I can do anymore on our end to make the experience better for really large campaigns like this one. Sorry I don't have a magic bullet here to fix all the issues right away :-(
Thank you for the analysis, it is largely what I suspected as I have been running the campaign over a pretty long time period with lots of maps, handouts, and character sheets! In general, once it is loaded and running things work pretty well, so no complaints there. I appreciate the time, effort, and hard work that you and the rest of Roll20 team, as well as the Roll20 Moderators who really do a lot to help people out and help build such a great community!
