_pattthe on discord, I'm est.  Time looks good to me.  Experience with AD&D 2e:  So I found on an archive this short advert flyer telling ad&d players what they can expect about the (at the time) upcoming ruleset changes.  It humorously called to the experience bonuses for each class.  Thieves getting experience for stealing yes but also if they have an actual cash-paying job!  Clerics can just [i]leave[/i] and come back a month or longer later saying ah yes I went on pilgrimage and did many yada uyada check out my exp total!  So I got the pdfs and inhaled the entire base rules.  Wierd rules as they are... 2e is kind of a minigame collection with disparate mechanics.  That said I have ran about a dozen reverse engineered games of 2e- mostly at college.  People who actually played in the 90s have waaay more knowledge than me, but I have read almost every ecology on mojobob's monstrous manual collection and am a lore NUT.  Especially Faerun and Planescape.    Why you like sandbox campaigns:   Learning a dedicated random table for a region and gaming around "okay these are here and those are there how to we get there from here safely/while looting enough to fund the next leg of the journey?"  What you will do to ensure everyone has a good time: I will ceaselessly be entertained by learning how people actually play ad&d 2e because I've just been looking at the dmg and phb and monster listings and playing archaeologist.  Even if I'm getting my organs torn out or my brain controlled by a YMC I am here for it.  What you will do to ensure that the party works well together: I'll play any role to the best of my ability.  I'm an ideator and very rarely am at a lack of creativity- I'm a bit of a spaz.  I'm also a forever-dm and know the social contract is important and foundational to fun-having all around.
