https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/16980/no-rest-for-the-weary This will be Pathfinder E6. What does that mean? It means nothing for the first few months as you go from level 1 to 6. At level 6, progress will halt, level wise, and instead feats will be given at specific intervals. Read: http://p6codex.com/AbridgedP6CodexV0p2.pdf This campaign will, hopefully, be a doozy of a long one. It will be slow and aiming more for a lower magic side of things. Dragons are super mythological beasts that can lord over entire armies no problem. The other planes are a complete mystery that few would even believe in outside of those that know and can prove they exist. Wizards are rare. Yearly in the Grand Monarchy of Galathede, there is a large festival in honor of the royal family. This year in particular marks the debut of the crown prince. As everyone fusses about, preparing themselves for the festivities, the guards have been overworked and too strained. Zones normally off limits have no one watching them. And more alarmingly, people have gone missing without a trace. Start time and day not set in stone. ***This will be an RP heavy game.*** Character Creation First and foremost, 10 point buy, level 1, slow track exp. Yes, I know it's a little harsh. Advanced Class Guide is allowed, along with every other class and prestige class that is from pazio. Due to the nature of the game, I suggest core races; however, I have no hard rules against other races. Planes touched races and outsider lineage will be met with suspicion or fear. Non-core races that probably won't be met too poorly: Catfolk, Ratfolk, Tengu, Vishkanya (as foreigners), Vanara. Drow are not inherently evil, though they are a strange, somewhat suspicious people from the underground. (Also keeping the matriarch thing going. Drow nobles as a distinct race type don't exist, but the drow racial feat are totally allowed.) Dhampir are playable. The undead exist, and most people know about they exist, at least in legends. Dhampir can also disguise themselves fairly easily. Duergar are a former lower caste of normal dwarven society that broke off a forever again. Orcs will be met with hostility by most as they're considered dangerous savages. Similar to goblins and hobgoblins. Merfolk exist, but don't be that person unless you can really sway me. For applications, I would like a full character sheet for level 1. 2 traits standard, drawbacks allowed, but it will come up. Backstory definitely a must.
Interesting, if this stays on (every?) Monday I could get into this, I'll PM you as I have a few questions for ya Lily. Contemplating a Bard Tom :)
If only this game was in a different time slot! I hope you find a solid group to run it. If your time table changes, I'd certainly entertain the idea of jumping onboard.
The time is sort of a working time at the moment. I can start earlier or later on Mondays quite easily, just depends on players. I have other days available too, but this is sort of my gauge here. :P
Well, I generally get home from work at about 4:30pm CST (which I believe is 2:30pm for an Arizonian). I'm typically available from then until Midnight CST. This applies to Sundays through Thursdays. The other two days are my offline gaming nights with friends.
I'll have to poke around and see depending on players if they'd generally like to start a bit later or not. That would be starting two and a half hours later than what I have on the game, but I can certainly do it, personally.
I can do pretty much anytime Mondays, would prefer Late afternoon and on but not a real prob either way, as long as it is not starting at say 11 PM CST Monday night or some such, LOL Tom
I can do Monday 3PM EDT; actually, any time after Monday noon is alright for me. I'm not familiar with E6, but I'm willing to learn, if you're willing to put up with a newcomer. :'D The only thing that perplexes me is the 10pt buy. Is that a site mechanic or-? (I'm unfamiliar with site mechanics.)
E6 is a variant of Pathfinder. It's where you go up to level six like normal and then it changes to something more akin to epic progression. It's a way of keeping things sort of toned down while allowing people to have oodles of options. 10 point buy means the point buy number when you make your character. An overview of point buy can be found here: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/basics-ability-scores/character-creation
I'm a fan of the concept of E6 although I have not yet had a chance to play one all the way to post-L6 progression. The power level inflation post-6 in a standard game can get out of hand so quickly. In regards to timing, once you come to a conclusion as to what sort of time slot we are looking at just let me know if my availability is too late in the evening or not. If I my timing is too late, that is perfectly fine. You won't hurt my feelings in the least!
I probably won't be making any final decisions until a week from now, honestly. I'm hoping to really get a group of people I can enjoy playing with for long term, which means I'm going to be exceptionally picky.
Completely understandable. It's surprising how difficult it can be to gather a consistent and stable group. My past few attempts to get a solid group together ended up turning into a bit of a trainwreck. Take your time! I'll be keeping an eye out on the thread.
So 3 potential players here so far, and so far Mondays and all of us can make it if it starts around 5 PM CST I think so far? Good start!! How many PC's are you looking for Lily? Tom
Unngh. I'd be happy playing at your original time or earlier. But not later. There are plenty of games later. We need some earlier games.
I'm interested. Normally i play on maptools. So i won't be to familiar with Roll20 but i am with pathfinder. Finding a group that sticks is hard. The time is ok (I'm euro 3pm edt is 21:00 for me) earlier is even better. It's going to be something different leveling so slow but it gives a lot of opportunity to RP i like that.
I'd be interested in this; I'm a story-focused player and would love to put together a character for this; I haven't done any E6, but would certainly like to try it at least once. Any time, so long as it remains on mondays would be great for me.
I'm definitely keeping this on Mondays, that's just not something that's going to change. 5 central is getting kinda late to start, sadly. That would pretty much clear my whole evening and make doing dinner for the family rather difficult.

Slowly, but surely learning more at this. I should be able to make an sheet soon enough. If I may, what is the technological prowess of Galathede? Since wizards are rare, I would assume to the point of firearms. Just some clarification for class decisions.
I'm going to say fire arms are something that are sort of prized as marvels and not really a thing most people could hope to afford or something like that. I enjoy firearms, I don't think they're over powered, but it is iffy to mix them in sometimes. I like going the route of making a fire arm is a very well kept secret.
Alright, good to know. That sorts that out. Thank you for answering my questions, and have a good evening meal! :>
Are you guys full yet? If not I would love to join. Can have a character ready as soon as you need it
Not even close. Post an application on the game forum. I'll probably decide over the weekend or early next week.
You don't have the right link up/have LFG delisted, for posting in the forum. Comes up 'not authorized' on the link at the top.
...strange. I've pmed the link to several people and it worked. Try https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/16980/no-rest-for-the-weary maybe?
That one worked. The link in the first post works now as well. Strangely enough.
I had the same Issue that linked worked for me though, thanks.
