The world has been forever changed. The dead walk, the living fight one another and every day is a constant struggle for survival. It has been six months since the start of the outbreak, you find yourself in the great state of Wyoming living with a group of survivors inside of an old ranger station. You have learned to trust each other enough (well some of them) to be able to work together in the same of survival. The future looks grim, death is a certainty in these dark times. Your only goal, survive another day. Welcome to The Walking Dead TTRPG! This is a game based of the classic show by AMC. In this game you play as a group of survivors that are trying to survive in a changed world populated by the walking dead. This game is a narratively driven story telling game that focuses on how well your PCs handle surviving day to day. Disclaimer: Much like the show, this world deals with some very difficult topics. Violence, blood and gore, death, mental health and many many others. This world will to constantly test your PCs mind and morality. If you are familiar with the show then you will be familiar what type of content you are going to be expecting. I will do my best to stree away from the most sensitive subjects but this game is dark by its very nature. Principles of the game: This entire game is permeated by a few simple principles . They are both instructions on how t o play , and sources of inspiration. 1. DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO SURVIVE. There is no preset path to salvation for your PC, and no way to win the game. There are no boss end- ings or hidden treasures. All there is, is your will to survive, and your freedom to do whatever it takes to keep going another day. 2. DEATH IS INESCAPABLE. Death is everywhere, and even though you can kill individual w alkers, there will always be more coming. Your only hope is to build barricades. But they will only l ast so long. 3. YOU ARE NEVER SAFE. Everything changes; there is no permanently safe place. Those who were your allies yesterday may sneak into your camp tonight to take your supplies, or your life. The old gas station which was cleared an hour ago is now filled with walkers after a car alarm went off. Even your own mind may betray you t hrough fear, weakness, even delusion. 4.YOU ARE NOT ALONE. This is a game about a g roup of people, not individual heroes. Your P C may die, but you will get a new one. The same h olds for the other players and the GM: Everyone i s equally responsible for what happens at the t able. You all bring the fun, and you should r espect each other’s preferences and wishes. 5. YOU ARE TELLING A STORY. The game is played in scenes. Not everything that happens must b e played out. Set scenes and play whatever feels i nteresting. Skip the rest. 6. FICTION COMES FIRST. In this game, the story i s more important than the rules. Never say a nything about rule mechanics without first d escribing and talking about how it impacts the s tory. This game is not about attacking walkers a nd rolling for damage. It’s about what these e xperiences bring out in your PCs and how it c hanges you and your perspective on the world. So i f a dice roll does not align with the story that you w ant to tell or where a player wants to take a PC – talk about it first before allowing the dice to d ictate where your story goes. We are currently looking for two or three more players. If you are interested PM me and we can talk about you joining the game. Thank you!
