Would love a way for the Character/monster portrait to be displayed when opening the character sheets

I thrive off visuals and art. Part of helping me at the table is being able to see portraits and images of the characters and creatures not just tokens on the map. I would love if the Devs could somehow put the image in the Bio tab to b e front and centre( or beside) the character sheet screen when an NPC or character is opened. Its a minor detail but one that would really help with the imagination...unless I am alone in this.

It is possible to do this. I'd send a message to the sheet devs asking for it. In the sheets I create, I have started to do this, but have them in a hideable region because they do take up a lot of space. That way people who wan to see them can, and those who don't want tosee them can have their wish too.

My guess would be that the current sheet will probably be more or less frozen except for bug fixes fairly soon. The Devs are working on the next iteration of the sheet , building it from scratch to support the new D&D sourcebooks. The good news is that the new sheet does indeed display the bio picture.

I agree Dwayne,  in the meantime one of the great API mod scripts you can try is called Color-Emote and it lets you display that Portrait in CHAT (not on character sheet), but when you are a visual person like me, it helps to Pop that picture into Chat frequently.  Since you are a PRO subscriber who can use Mods, check the one-click dropdown under API Mods of your game for Color Emote
