About Me: I'm a new D&D player, haven't really touched it at all except 1 short lived campaign of Outbreak. I recently decided I wanted to give it a real go, and asked friends to come with me. Sure enough, they said yes, and now I've got a full campaign waiting to happen. Problem is, I don't know D&D very well, nor do I know anything else. Problem: I'm flailing as hard as I can to try and learn the entirety of D&D 3.5 within the 2 weeks I gave myself. It's not going well, especially since this Wednesday is the first REAL session. After lots and lots of reading, I've come to 2 conclusions. the 2 week deadline was a mistake, and I believe I've let the players get away with too much. Not to mention, I've been working out how to use the roll20 character sheets in the same amount of time. My brain feels fried, and my well of creativity feels barren and dusty. I'm not sure if I'm gonna put on a good campaign, or if it's gonna crumble when the engine starts. Solution: I'm asking for any assistance at all. A 2nd GM to handle rules and such would be amazing, even better would be a mentor to teach me how to hold everything together while rolling. Hell, at this point, I'd take just an inspector to look over my work and show me where it flops.
