DM Looking for possible group of 3.5/Pathfinder and/or 5E players

First and foremost, I am not the most experienced DM/GM in the world. But I have an idea for a game/campaign/world I would like to try out. We will get to that in a moment. First, I am 33 years old. My times will be based on Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5:00), most likely on the weekends as long as I don't have anything else going on and weekly. I have loved Role-playing in all its forms. Bear with me this is getting to a point. Lately, I have been missing the itch to get in some good roleplaying in. I am currently hosting one with some friends, most of whom have never played before. Using Pathfinder (First time I have seriously jumped into it, but always thought it was the true follow-up to 3.5), we have had a couple of good sessions so far. But I want more. What I am looking for in players are those that want to also help build the world right along side me. One of my most favorite campaigns of all time was one where I had a hand not only in shaping it's future, but it's past as well. The DM of that story driven campaign of 7 years (yes 7... and actually it would have been more if I had the time to show up for the follow ups) let us help create a lot of the world along side him. It always made me feel more part of it. It also helped that he had a hell of a story for us. He (as I will in this Campaign) always had final say in what was and wasn't allowed, but he was very easy. As I hope to be in the World-Building. But there are those that abuse this, so warning now: If I say no, I mean it. I am not an expert when it comes to using roll20 so far. I am trying, but I plan on mostly letting imagination run this, and use the features here to help with keeping things moving (Dice rolls, character sheets, hidden messages between characters), and when I can, use a tile map or something that works. Suggestions always welcomed. Now to the Story/World that I have in mind. It will mostly be in a "desert setting", water is a vital resource, and there will be "steam-punk" elements to this as well. Water being in such demand, those that have it "abuse" it by fueling their half-magic/half-machine creations (Steam-punk Golems, Airships and the like). All the races from the PHBs and others are welcomed. If you want to play something else, we can come to an agreement on that. In that 7 year campaign I said before? I played a Minotaur. We made it worked so it wasn't that I was over-powered compared to the others. Thinking of starting at 3rd level. Once I have an idea of whom is interested, and their experience, this will be settled. Also between 5 to 7 players, again depending on player experience. That also comes to the title of this Campaign. I just cannot think of a "perfect" name as of yet. Once I know of some interest, I will reveal more, like the Imperial Empire, that is actually the good guys. The Prosperous Kingdom that tales say it is the perfect place to live. If you are a Noble or Magic-user/Engineer. The Crystals of Power... and more. Just looking for interest right now, suggestions, and criticism ;/ . Contact me here, though private message, and I will add you to skype once I have an idea of your interest. Thank you for your time.
I would love to be involved in something like this. I prefer NOT to have meta-game knowledge concerning the details of the plot (ruins the surprise, helps with the immersion) but i would love to try my hand at helping to create a world. I am only available for the actual gaming on sundays, but can talk and discuss things pretty much any time after 10pm Central and at random times during the day (i have skype and steam chat on my phone, and my boss is pretty chill, so no worries there! lol). I've been playing 3.5 since 2007 and Pathfinder since 2012. I haven't had a lot of play time in the past year (new job, kids in school, etc.) but i have a few character concepts i've been itching to try out, as well as a wealth of source materials from 3.5e. If you're interested, feel free to shoot me a message on Skype. My name (without quotes) is "Allen Arcla". Look forward to hearing from you.
I would really lie, to be involved as well. I GM a lot and I always have a hard time getting my players to dig into the story and make it their own.

I would be interested in playing alongside you. I myself have a decent amount of experience as a DM and working with Roll20, so I can assist you in that regard. I also consider myself an excellent player with a very wide background of knowledge of 3.5e. You can shoot me an add on skype via "frosthowl" (Nick) if you wanna chat. For a bit of a background, I am definitely a heavy RPer, but I do optimize my characters to a theme. There are no slackers in the dungeon after all! I'm a bit of a rules lawyer which has its pros and cons. I'll get on your case when it comes to homebrew if you haven't bothered to check if rules already exist for that or if you don't have a good reason for it, but otherwise, I am pretty understanding. That doesn't mean I'm gonna fight you over it, but I will discuss it civilly if I think there are better alternatives to what you are doing. Otherwise, I'm a pretty laid back/easygoing guy.
I'm looking to play a decent 3.5 or Pathfinder, contact me via Skype "nikkalos"
Sound like a lot of fun. I'm still pretty new but have played a good amount of 5E and used roll20 enough to get around pretty easily. The desert setting sounds awesome, and being that i've only played in campaigns of medieval fantasy the steampunk elements would be great. Anyway I look forward to hearing more, catch you later.
Hey there, i have a Story driven / sandbox hybrid campaign starting,... its multiple parties (DMs & Players) in the same world all creating ripples for eachother that creates both problems and opportunities for the other groups in the world. Right now we have enough players and DMs for 4 parties to be running arround but more are certainly welcome to play. We are going ot be holding the Pre-Launch DM Q&A and the Player Q&A some time next week, its in this DM Q&A that we will be deciding the rules set for the campaign and any DMs in it are going to have an influence on how the campaign is run. So if you would like to get in on the fun at the ground floor this is the time to join in. The world is a dark world and filled with want. Think of this,... its like lord of the rings IF the fellowship of the ring had been corrupted to saurons side AND if Mordor had won the battles at helms deep and Gondor. Also Izradore (sauron of this world) is just like sauron , unable ot take physical form in the world. and the method of fixing that is for him to siphon the magic out of the world using these Huge black mirrors. Both you and your players here are welcome to join us,... just let me know. I am interested, but I want to sink my teeth into the 5e rules. Message me if that is what you want.
I will be getting in touch with people soon if I haven't already. Had a lot more responses then I thought I would get. WOW. Anyways, I want to finish up some background stuff, and was distracted by an interesting campaign today. Reponses later tomorrow or Tuesday.
I really love the newest edition of D&D, and if you guys have a player spot, I'd love to join you.
If you still have a spot open I'm interested
I would certainly be interested as well. :)
https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/530663/sp... Also posted a thing (Which will have more info added to it) in the LFG tools. That said, I will want everyone to be sure they are able to follow what I have posted so far before I accept them. Thanks.
Also, with the higher level of interest I am going to have to do some vetting first. Hopefully be done by this Saturday... time permiting.
So I am an idiot.... use this link instead: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/17426/spring-of-hope
