Newbie hoping to play with other newbies 5e campaign

I’m new to Dnd and am looking for other players, hopefully fellow newbies, to join me in a 5e campaign. I already have a potential dm tapped. This would be a very beginner friendly game where we can learn together.

I am very beginner and would love to learn to play with other beginners. 

I am pretty experienced, however, I wouldn't mind joining such a campaign.  I enjoy helping players along, (and making slightly Over Powered characters).

Just a question.  If you would be able to let me know when and how to join (assuming I am welcome).  I am new to this platform & am used to in person sessions.

Hi guys, I’m the potential DM, at Christines final discretion. if things proceed well we will be sort of collaborating on this. Anybody interested in my background there is a decent amount of verbiage, maybe too much haha, on my profile. Was thinking of starting not too long after the Fourth of July holiday weekend. figure trying to play for three hours a couple times a month or so. Probably starting in the early evenings Pacific time and bouncing around weekend nights, depending on when the most people can make a session. But we still have to determine all that. I’m open to any questions. Anybody wants to send me.

I can make any session that isn't a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday night. Monday and Tuesday for soccer, as well as Thursday for another D&D club (this one being IRL).  Also I do soccer reffing after my D&D most Thursdays, but sometimes do so on Wednesdays.

I am free to play any evenings after 6 CST and on the weekends if needed. 

Good thing it's after the weekend as I am reffing a tournament both days then.

If there is still space for me I would also like to join.

We are likely to keep reaching out for players to participate for a week or so, then schedule a Discord chat to meet and discuss possibilities, expectations, etc.  I would like to  have a session zero in a couple weeks. We are looking to do Saturday nights PST starting maybe 6 or 630 or so and playing three hours. Two or three times a month (depending on how many people can make it in a particular week). For anybody that works for I’d recommend PMing me this coming week so I can personally keep you in the loop, you can ask questions, tell me a little bit about you, share ideas, etc!  I would recommend getting a copy of the 5th ed PHB if you haven’t already. Since we are looking to be Newbie friendly we are likely to focus on races and classes from that.

Would we be allowed to use different races and subclasses from different books? Also could we start earlier than that because for me that would be 21:00.

During the summer starting any earlier than about 6 PM is hard for me. I like to get out during the day on the weekend and do a lot of stuff as I hope anyone would be doing if they’re giving up their Saturday nights a couple times a month or so . Also, I’m not going to run a simplistic campaign or anything, But since we want to appeal to people with less than seasoned experience with the system, I think sticking to the players handbook would be good for that. 

Also fyi for anybody that doesn’t have the full players handbook there are Quickstart rules available that can introduce you to the character creation process at least.

Just a bump because newbies come along to the forums here and there. If this sounds like its for you feel free to ask any questions for this campaign that is being prepared! you won’t need to be brand new but it’s going to be beginner friendly.

Hey, thanks for dropping me a message on my other post.  I would be interested, if it's Sat evenings 6.30pm PST, that should be fine for me! I am UK based so just wanted to double check times etc, but as long as its not too much later than that, I would be able to do pretty much any days except Wednesdays.
