Mythras - The New World 1600s - (Monster Island) Check

Friends are looking to start a Mythras campaign that will run the brilliant sandbox Monster Island, with a few twists. It will be based on semi-historical mid-1600s explorer/colonist vibe as far as PC's tech level and origin (so humans), though magic and miracles/prayer skew more fantasy.  The players would be on a boat bound for The New World (Americas), but instead get shipwrecked on the titular island (think kind of like The Savage Land from Marvel), with limited supplies and no knowledge of where they landed.  There are non-human natives on the island with their own agendas, conflicts, struggles and interests to interact with, along with the other stranded humans. Plus, ya know, monsters.  Influenced by 'Lost World' and 'Sword and Sorcery' tales by the likes of Clark Ashton Smith and Robert E Howard, and the 'Strangers In A Strange Land' motifs similar to Shogun , John Carter of Mars , and to a lesser extent Herbert's Dune or Andersons' Three Hearts and Three Lions. Days and times are somewhat negotiable, though most likely in the timeframe of 7 or 8pm EST start. Mythras is a fantastic d100 system based on BRPG (Chaosium, Call of Cthulhu, RuneQuest 6).  This campaign has 150 Combat Styles (many loosely based on historical ones), Spirit Magic, Folk Magic, Theist and sometimes Psi powers.  Monster Island is lauded by many as one of the greatest campaigns of all time.
