Hi Bob J.,  While this bug exists I suggest switching to the old compendium, it is not affected by this bug. Additionally, if you would like to inform the Devs of a bug please file a bug report via the Help Center as the bug report forum is primarily for users helping users.
I am not asking for help, this forum is called BUG REPORTING and TECHNICAL ISSUES...if it was for user's helping user's, it should have it's name changed to reflect that.   Also, I am aware the old compendium still has search by type, but I was reporting a bug, as this forum is labeled.

I am just the messenger. The Devs have asked that any bug reporting for the Devs be via the Help Center . They can track bugs better via that method. You can find that request by the Devs in this post  (quoted below). "Bug reports are a crucial part of maintaining Roll20. If you have found something that does not seem quite right (or does not function as advertised), please let us know by submitting a request via the following channels: Help Center Request  -- Guaranteed visibility and engagement by Roll20 support staff who will assist however possible. Also best method for any issues involving Personally Identifiable Information (Payments, credit card, account recovery, etc.) Community Bug Reports & Technical Issues Forum  -- Great for community contributed assistance and help. Roll20 staff makes efforts to engage but cannot guarantee every topic will receive a response. Other 3rd party tools  -- Occasionally we may direct feedback or bug reports to specific areas (such as a forum thread, product portal, survey, etc.) when we believe it is beneficial. Typically this is for high visibility items where we need specific tools to efficiently prioritize reports and feedback." As for the name, yes, I and the other FCs have asked for the forum to be renamed for some time now to reflect it's current use purpose.
