Hello. Please DM me if the following interests you. I believe that the grid-based and theatre-of-mind gameplay of M&M3 can lend itself to being the 'Arma III' of virtual tabletop. You can explicitly deny any effect that is not physically possible with modern technology. You can focus on social engineering and information warfare. Environmental Control and Senses powers alone permit much in the way of representing such modern weapons as those funky rectangle-guns that kill EM waves to knock out drones or whatever they do. It has been a while since I saw those SCP or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. themed Arma III youtube videos based around those modern electronic warfare and drone warfare technologies. If you are interested in using this Superhero game system to make some kind of reliable ruleset for modern combat, please DM me. I would love to devote my DND brain to making entirely plausible scenarios. Equally enticing is the idea of having realistic characters using real-world tools to engage a select few supernatural elements or insurgents with select supernatural gear. No server is currently set up to explore this experimental use of the game system. Please contact me if you want to try and make this a reliable ruleset to post online about. I am merely a halo fan, who played an ODST in a superhero game, but having merely 'future tech' and a human with no superpowers was so much fun that near-future military characters, I think, should be perfectly suitable as PC's for a modern milsim game- with or without limited pseudo-magical elements that engage with modern information warfare or square-to-square combat. -Patt
