Hi all! I've recently made a listing for the new campaign I'm running, Path to Nowhere, but it seems to not be showing up properly so I thought I might post on here as well ( 〃 •_• ) You should be able to find the listing here - https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/406327/path-to-nowhere - but in case that doesn't work, here's some campaign info! You hadn't been involved in the occult in the past, but now, after being kidnapped by one cult and subsequently rescued by another, you find yourself at the center of the biggest power struggle of the Secret Histories. Will a new god rise from Nowhere and destroy the world? Or will you do something about it? I've wanted to run this campaign of mine for quite a while. It's based pretty heavily on the delightfully esoteric lore of Cultist Simulator and Book of Hours, but I don't expect any players to be familiar with those games (in fact, it might be better to go in blind). This'll be a roleplay- and lore-heavy game, with a fair amount of combat to boot, centered on a custom setting of mine. If this sounds interesting and you'd like to apply, or you have any further questions, feel free to go through the LFG listing or let me know by DM either here on Roll20 or on Discord @denshire! Some character rules/restrictions you should account for in advance: - Elves, and any other races that do not sleep, aren't allowed as PCs - Warlocks are permitted, but their patron has to be one of the occult entities relevant in the plot. So, if you want to play a warlock, it'll require a bunch of extra communication. - This is an evil campaign. The occult practices the party might encounter are often dark, and a Good character won't be able to reach the same heights and make the same sacrifices that a Neutral or Evil character might. This isn't encouragement to be a murderhobo; just make sure your character is prepared to go whatever lengths their goals require. - The game's going to be very homebrew heavy, and I've already created an entire additional leveling system that you'll be going through alongside normal D&D leveling. As such, homebrew is permitted and encouraged. (Although, of course, you'll have to run it by me first.) - There are certain other limitations on character creation based on the setting, but these aren't too major and will be discussed after you're accepted. Be prepared to alter some aspects of your character/backstory, though.
