Map folders looks very slick. Has anyone ran into the issue of their maps disappearing?

Have not loaded since before the change/update with Map folders replacing the previous set up. The pages are there, but the maps images, tokens, dynamic lighting and so forth are not.  It is like they were reset to a completely new blank page.  I've tried the help topics but was more interested if this was isolated or if others ran into this.  Because that will change my next steps on working to fix this.  Cheers. 

Hi Rerednaw,  If content is missing from your pages the best option would be to contact Roll20 support and see if they can remedy the issue.  You can do that via the Help Center . 

Frankly, I don't like the new layout. I have a lot of maps and I'm running a large city campaign. Only being able to see 1 line of maps at a time and no longer being able to use the mouse wheel to go up and down while holding the placement flag is going to eat MORE time as I move the party to a new area. I have to time the drag n' drop to get the maps to scroll up and down, with no real control on how far it scrolls. The old one was fine. This is going to cause a lot of frustration for me and my group.

Hi Blue Cultist,  Could you elaborate on the 1 line of maps at a time? Perhaps with a screenshot? That is not what I am seeing.  As for the mousewheel, I suggest mouse wheeling to your location before using the flag at the top of the screen. The "page flag" is less functional than the flag at the top of the screen.  One other note, this new page toolbar was highly requested and it isn't "new", it has been around for many months (almost a year) now. It was inevitable that they would eventually remove the old version. 

As you can see, I can only see 1 line of maps. I have at 13 lines of maps. So if I have to move that page flag, its either the very clumsy drag and drop, or hop scotch it as I search for the proper map. And NO it wasn't. It was not like this two days ago when I logged in.

Hi Rerednaw! I have not seen this problem reported anywhere, nor encountered it myself. The feature shouldn't be able to affect page content in any way; all it is is a different interface to access the same page data. During the preview period, users could freely switch interfaces. If your contents have disappeared and it is a recent occurrence, then Gauss' suggestion of a  Help Center Request  is the best way to go. They may be able to restore the game to a previous state.

Hi Blue Cultist! The lack of scroll wheel interaction was recently reported, I believe it is being looked at. That screen looks either browser magnified or under 1080p resolution. Is this the case? The lack of enough screen real estate might be what is accounting for the truncated height. If you can verify this, I might be able to put together a stylus style to account for the height on such screens. Also, You might want to start an original thread for this in the future. Rerednaw's issue is different from yours and this is swerving the topic away from that.

Blue Cultist,  There was a switch in your My Settings tab to switch it to the new version. It has been there for quite awhile now.  As for the one line, I am wondering why yours is only displaying one line, mine displays about 2 and 3/4 lines. I am guessing there may be a problem with the detection of your screen size or something.  Here is a screenshot of what I am seeing.  Could you supply your resolution and screen size? Finally, here is a screenshot of the ribbon I am referencing. If you use this ribbon you can scroll to where you want, then drop the ribbon.    Edit: ninja'd by Keith :D

My screen resolution is 1280 x 768, as its what fits my monitor I can see more, but I have to hit ctrl and - to reduce the screen to 67% size to see an acceptable number of maps. But then I can't read anything due to an eye injury. Having the page ribbon accessible from anywhere is nice, but I still would prefer the old version.

I have brought up your problem with the Devs, my guess is that due to your lower screen resolution it is limiting the number of lines shown.  In the meantime I suggest making use of the folders feature to group up the pages (maps). It will reduce the number of lines allowing you to more readily move between sections. Then you can use the top ribbon to move between pages (maps).

Over 1100 votes for this change which makes it the 4th most requested change in the suggestion forum.  With that said, while most of the issues get resolved when it is in beta (for the last 9 months or so) there is always new issues that appear when it exits beta and goes live. Your issue of the number of lines of pages being reduced to one is a definite issue. 

To clarify: The new page folder feature has been optional for nearly a year. It was just recently made the default and the old feature was retired.

Now that we have "Page Folders" it sure would be nice if we could use the Transmogrifier to move an entire folder at a time between games. According to the Suggestion, the ability exists now. We just don't have it yet.

Just an update, we can close this thread.  I plan to just rebuild the missing content.  

This was also requested a while ago (years before page folders were a thing) and guess what? after all these years it still was not implemented! Why? I presume they have other priorities as of now... the DnD 2024 Sheet, Demiplane Sheets, ... Just to think the hide messages feature took them 7 years to implement (although the suggestion was to be able to DELETE messages)... ... ... Maybe we will see it in 3 years or so...
