D&D Next

June 26 (12 years ago)
I would be interested in Running or playing in a D&D Next Playtest. Lasting maybe a few sessions with games once a week. Preferably players that have little to no experience with the D&D Next Playtest yet.
I can give it a whirl, I have no idea what DnD Next is so hopefully that is what you are looking for.
I've been extremely interested in using the D&D Next ruleset, just haven't been given the chance to use it yet! Let me know if you're interested in having me.

Yes that is exactly what I am looking for. People who have not even seen it yet or have only read over the rules but not played it.

One thing though, anyone who wants to play will have to have the D&D Next Playtest packet. As apart of the agreement when signing up for the playtest I had to say that I wouldn't give out the materials and that everyone participating in my games would be apart of the playtest. So you will need to go to wizards.com and download the playtest info so that you have the rules (which it would be good to at least glance at but I can teach too) and most importantly so you have all of the pre-generated character sheets.

Link to playest stuff is here: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/DnDNext.aspx
Just hit the "Start Playtest Now" button to get the info. Oh also you might not want to read the adventure stuff... just saying.

Oh and it is free to get playtest stuff. Figured that was worth mentioning.
Well, I signed up for it but I have not received the email. My time for playing if you do chose me to be in it is anytime really.

Ok got it!
I am interested. I have already signed up and gotten the playtest materials.

I am CDT (GMT -6). Starting this next coming monday I could play most any time. I would prefer to play during the day, as during the day there is less of a chance of interferences coming up.

Just signed up to get the playtest stuff. I'll hold off on reading the adventures. Totally interested in seeing how this works out! I'm EST and evenings are best for me.

Game will be this Wednesday at 7pm CDT. Still have at least 1 spot open, possibly more. Prefer players that have yet to play the Playtest yet but experienced players are welcome to.

All you need for the game is to sign up for the Playtest on the wizards site so you can get the pdf character sheets, characters will be handed out at session and rules will be explained.
I could possibly join. I haven't played D&D Next, and I can go download the packet...
Just one Q', What would 7pm CDT be in New York? I know how far I am a head of NY, and am unfamilliar with CDT timings, or what is it's UTC timing?

Curious your opinions on Next?

I like the way that it is going. Time will still tell how good it will be but I do like that they are stepping back from the supper crunchy 4e mindset. We will see if this "modularity" talk will be followed through on or will end up just being a cop out for wizard to release more lower quality products.

Also still have room for ONE more player for tonight. Game will start in less than 2 hours!

Sure, I can play. I ran one session of it, but am really looking to play it.
Do you still have a slot? I'm familiar with the rules and would very much like to try a wizard :)
