Makeup: 7 table members. We know this is typically a large party size, but we’ve successfully shared the story among this group of people in at least two major campaigns and one minor adventure arc. It’s definitely manageable in play, and nobody is particularly needy or demanding of DM time. We span a couple timezones. A DM based in Central or Eastern U.S. would probably be the best fit. Mean age range is probably around 34/35 y.o. 6 males, 1 female. Two table members are in a relationship, which has never affected play, or even been noticeable during game sessions. Experience: The 7 table members have been playing together for a relatively long time (roughly 3-4 years, with some variations?). At least 4 of us have played on both sides of the screen and understand the effort and resources required to DM, so we don’t take it lightly and really appreciate the hard work. With the exception of obscure rules or a couple of unfamiliar character classes, we know the rules and mechanics. Looking up rules or lawyering usually consumes very little of our play time, and we’re all aware that the DM has final say. Let’s get back to playing and having fun. Values: Most jokes aren’t off-limits, but we don’t tolerate hate in any form. Everyone can be as much of a mess as they want, and they can also draw lines around topics they’re uncomfortable with. That being said, we will get weird with it with the mutual understanding that everyone’s in on the joke until someone isn’t. Highly LGBTQ+ friendly and welcoming. We are very comfortable with cursing, and will definitely do so. Big tiddy goth women will eventually come up in conversation, unwarranted. Commitment: We take our table time seriously. 5 out of 6 people will be present and on time for 90% of sessions. The other 10% of the time, 4 out of 6 will be available. Style: Everyone is here for the story. That means we play flawed characters, we seize opportunities to solve smart problems in dumb ways, and we love engaging NPCs and other party members. Inter-party relationship building is a big part of the fun for our group. We will take a liking to your stupidly named NPC that you gave half a thought to creating and ask that they become a recurring character. The table has a mix of optimizers and RPers, but it’s generally pretty balanced. Everyone is proactive and open to feedback from other table mates when something seems out of whack and is taking away the fun. We like goofy magic items and homebrew things that DMs want to try out. Everyone’s on the same page that it’s trial and error, and it’s okay to roll back game-breaking stuff if it’s discovered, but we’d love to try the DM’s crazy top hat that transforms once a day into a giant talking flamingo. About the Players - A couple punchy lines to let you know who you’re dealing with: Squirrely: Old bastard that sounds young. Hosts our Discord server. Would be considered the “team captain” and often catalyzes the group to do stuff. Likes to optimize, but is not a spotlight-hogger and enjoys joint RP with other players. Meg: Vapes and drinks and tells dirty jokes. Newest to D&D and brings enthusiasm. Has often played characters that have an innocent tone to them, but are down to start shit. Will try to tame a pet in-game. Dan: The clap of his ass cheeks keep alerting the guards. Often plays a more direct, tough-guy character who can tank and drink and fight. As a player, is a great puzzle-solver. Needs a couple extra minutes during game break because he’s pooping. Eltee: Loving father with a heart of grime. Will make lots of inappropriate sexual jokes to demonstrate his affection toward other table mates. Great RP’er, likes to make characters that usually have some complex goals. Brady: Youngest of the group, femboi. Mature and can hang. Frequently is the target and butt of jokes, especially from Squirrely and Dan (he is used to this). Does great character voices and commits to staying in character, helping the table stay engaged. Blake: Most vanilla man you’ve ever met. Registered voter. Solid note-taking skills. Also likes to engage in character voices alongside Brady and will often catalyze inter-character RP. DJ: Weeb. Loves that homebrew and will definitely have questions about making a custom class using material from dandwiki.com or something. Good at solving puzzles and asking questions in-game to gather information.
