Character Sheet Template editor does not mirror in-game sheet behavior

Hello! I noticed a bunch of features of a character sheet are not functional in game, so I decided to take a look at improving the sheet. This is made much harder though by the mismatch in behavior of the Character Sheet Template "Preview" and the actual character sheet functionality while the game is loaded. For instance, I'm looking at the AD&D 2e sheet: https://wiki.roll20.net/ADnD_2nd_Edition_Character_sheet Loading this sheet into a game shows you that the "Hide" checkbox for "Rogue Skills" in the character sheet is not working. No function. So I went to the github and pasted that source html/css into the Character Sheet Template as a custom sheet- but I find that the Preview tab shows the correct functionality of the "Hide" box. Saving this custom sheet and loading it in game continues to show the non-functional behavior of the Hide box. (Note that this github might not be the same version of that 2nd edition sheet, but that's not relevant here and they were based on the same initial sheet, the exact sheet names are a bit wonky between roll20 and the github.) I'd like to understand why this testing environment is functionally different from the production environment and what I can do to work around this. And I suppose I might as well ask, is anything else expected to be broken with this process?

The Preview has been out of date for years.

As David says, the custom sheet preview is essentially useless. Sheet dev should be done using the custom sheet sandbox and my auto upload Chrome extension . Additionally, I doubt the button's functionality is actually broken. There is currently a serious bug with sheetworkers in general on roll20. Sheet dev is mostly impossible until this bug is resolved because you can't accurately test functionality.

As Scitt says, the current bug withsheet workers is crippling to sheet development. It's best not to assume any bugs you see at present are to do with the sheet. Don't make any sheet changes to this is sorted out. I describe the bug here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/12070693/ Regarding the first paragraph, I don't use Scott's extension because I primarily use firefox, but if you are on chrome, I strongly recommend it. The sandbox is must-use technology. Ignore the preview.

Is there a way to +1 your posted thread issue for significance? I'm unfamiliar with these forums. I see someone else mentioned in your thread that they were also having checkbox issues; is it optimal to post a comment saying the same? I'm not sure with what cadence the staff will look into an issue like this, can I help its resolution at all?

Sadly there's no +1 method, threads are sorted by time of last response. So the +1 equivalent would be to make a response!
