Virtuacon is an annual RPGaming convention held in virtual space, sponsored by RPGGeek.com, which is a sister sister site to BoardGameGeek.com. This year's Virtuacon is going to run from Friday October 10 to Sunday, October 12, with events held continually in that three-day period. There are one-shot games, panel discussions, RPGGeek contests, and The Silver Unicorn Tavern, where you can drop in and chat with fellow gamers during the entire convention. All games and events are run through Google+, with many/most also using Roll20. The games seats are first come, first served, and signups are ongoing. You can check out all the events at this year's schedule page , where info for each event is listed along with a link to the event's Google+ page. You will need a Google account and a Google+ profile to sign up for and participate in games, though the profile doesn't actually need to contain anything. Participating in Virtuacon events requires a microphone, and while a webcam is not required, it is enthusiastically encouraged to help create that "round the table" feeling that can create great RPG experiences. I don't know how many Roll20 users don't know about Virtuacon, but I just thought I'd throw this out there. There are about two weeks left before it starts, but you shouldn't wait to grab a seat, the games will fill up, and some already have.
