Cant add 2024 char sheet to existing game

I received an error message when trying to add a character to an existing game. I received an error message when trying to add a character to an existing game, which is a copy of Jumpgate. The option for the 2024 character sheet is activated. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Somewhere I read that if you have both Character Sheets in one game, you cannot add Characters from the Vault / Roll20 Characters to the game...

I think you can only add Roll20Characetrs for those using the chosen Base sheet for the game. I have not experimented with this.

I was not able to add my 2024 character from my Characters to my friend’s game, but could to my own. Both games have the same settings…

RPGeezer said: I was not able to add my 2024 character from my Characters to my friend’s game, but could to my own. Both games have the same settings… Hi RPGeezer! Did you return the character to Roll20 Characters before trying to move it to the other game? Did you verify that both games have the setting to accept characters from Roll20 Characters toggled on and that they are using the 2024 sheet? (I know you said they both have the same settings, but there are a lot of settings)
I originally built it in Characters. Settings are the same, and the only difference I can find is that I copied my game to Jumpgate from non and he did the in game settings switch…

Got that, thanks. Did you return the character to Roll20 Characters before trying to move it to the other game? It works differently from Character Vault. It moves the character, rather than making a copy.
It would not add to his game. I added and removed from mine, then tried again to no avail…

Hmm, without being able to "get my hands and eyes" into the games, I can't make any good suggestions here. My assumption would be to check that the friends game has the option to allow imports from Roll20 Characters turned on, but that's just speculation. It might be best to file a  Help Center Request , since a team member can just call up the games and look at the settings to find the problems. If the problem is indeed due to the method of conversion, they might be interested in what went wrong here. Do both games use the same sheet choice, and if two sheets are present in the same game (assuming this is D&D), do they both have the same base sheet and secondary sheet choices, in the same order?

Maxi, same advice to you. (sorry, I forgot this was your thread). A  Help Center Request  is probably the best route.
Just to piggyback for visibility — I've been having the same issue since the 2024 material was released. My DM created a new game for the 2024 character sheets and activated all settings. I remade my character on a 2024 character sheet (using base rules only) but I've been receiving the same error message for weeks. Will submit a help centre request.
