LF D&D 3.5 or 5e Game (Australian player)

Hi Folks, I'm an Australian player looking to play some D&D (3.5 or 5e). After struggling to find a local play group i thought i'd try roll20. Being from Australia i have awkward play times, so late night US (after 9-10pm US time) works out best for me, and most days per week work out fine. I have previous experience DM'ing a campaign and playing in several. I am yet to play 5e but have the player's hand book and am reading through it atm. I prefer to build character for RP immersion, not for power building/min-maxing Thanks for your time if you read all of this

While it isn't (quite) D&D, I've got a True20 fantasy campaign going on that could use another player or two: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/15328/true20-fa" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/15328/true20-fa</a>... The basic concept is that a D&D-esque world in desperate need of heroes used powerful magic to summon them from another world (namely, ours). The PCs are trying to find a way to prevent the forces of evil from overrunning the last bastion of civilization in that world, all while trying to make sense of a strange new world and trying to figure out how to get home (or even if it's possible to do so). The system is essentially D20-lite, so being familiar with D&D (especially 3.5) means you pretty much already know it. If you're interested, I've got several test characters from which you can choose a stand-in for tonight's session (in about an hour and a half), and I can give you a hand with real character creation later.

Not quite D&D either, but I'm running a 13th Age campaign out of Sydney every other Thursday night. I welcome new players. I have 4 players at the moment, we do a fair amount of roleplaying mixed with 1 or 2 combats per session. Next session will be our 10th, so I hope to start and end with a combat and roleplay in the middle, as a reprise of the 1st session. I'd be down to be a player, I (slightly) know 3.5 but haven't played for a long time and have books.
