?? Token not assigned when dragged from Character Bar

I set up an NPC on my adventure, assigned a token and an Avatar. When I drag the name to the map, the token assigned appears on the map. However, when I then click on that token that is on the map, it is not linked to the NPC character sheet I made up - I have to go in and manually assign. Why is this? Can I change this? Thanks, John

Set the toke up to be linked to the character sheet and then reassign the token to the character sheet. I could be wrong, but it sounds like it wasn't assigned before linking it to the sheet.
