Every time I try to post a question I get an error.

Hello, I am new here on roll20. I've been exploring the platform and encountered a problem to which I couldn't find a solution or any information on the forum regarding it. I've tried making a post and attached a screenshot to clarify what I am talking about, but every time I try posting it I get an error saying: DataMapper::UnsavedParentError at /forum/newtopic/19/0 The source must be saved before creating a resource file: one_to_many.rb location: assert_source_saved line: 339 I would attach a screenshot of that, but I try to minimise the "complexity" of the post to avoid the same error while posting this.
I think it's likely you need to have the screenshot saved as a file, not just paste from the buffer.  I find screenshots not included if just paste from buffer. If that is not it, perhaps a little more information on what you are doing?

You can usually paste an image if the copy source is something that is currently online somewhere. The safest route though, is as Jim says, upload, don't paste. Copying from your local computer (screen shot or selected image) doesn't work.
I see, thank you. I will try that. Yeah I was simply pasting it from the clipboard (the screen shot taken with Windows` snipping tool).

Sceeenshots are alweays tricky. I usually save my image to imgur, then copy the link form there and paste it into roll20.
I saved the screenshot as a file, and then uploaded it in the post. That worked. Thanks everyone for the help!

Yeah, my guess is that the code for the forum was laid down between the days of phpBB (everything is a link, in tags), and the modern days of things like discord (paste from anywhere--it's all good). It trips people up until they learn the behavior.
