This game is open to all. It is old west themed and mostly historically accurate and relies heavily on role playing. The Boot Hill system has no character assignments or slots, so all options are open for players as this town has many businesses and over a 100 NPC's to interact with. Crazed gunfighter with a deathwish, young gaucho looking for work, or a European Sportsman touring the West are there to play if you wish. Create one or play a pre-generated one. Just to point out the obvious, it is possible that any player in the game could really have their character killed by a single well-placed bullet. A forewarning: +++ dated words and phrases may be used from the context and timeframe of the old Western United States which may not be culturally appropriate in a current timeline. +++ New players who have done a RPG before that are not familiar with the game are very welcome. We will be playing a relaxed version of Boot Hill, second edition, by Gary Gygax and Brian Blume which was released in 1979. It is percentiles based and pretty rules light. As your character will be living in June of 1870, there are technology limitations from that time, and weapons and items developed after that year will not be used in our game. No major plots or goals will be driven by the GM. This is not a "module" but an open game with many, many options. All characters begin by getting off the stagecoach in the mythical town of Vicksburg, which is near the western panhandle section of the Indian Territory in the United States In 1870. They have been cooped up with several other player characters/NPC's in a very dusty, rough and bouncing stagecoach for the past 2+ weeks to get to this exact point in their life. Each character as they embark can create their own actions as they wish and can fit into (or not fit into) this dusty town at their own discretion. Message me if you are interested and what would be the best times for you. I already had this scheduled but will be rescheduling and setting a date soon
