A once proud fortress swallowed by the earth ages ago lies eerily
intact. Its broken halls echo with eerie sounds, hinting at oddities below.
Rumors of both vigor and malice emerging from the Sunless Citadel reach
adventurers across the land. Strange fruit that can cure and kill.
Welcome! This is a call to adventure to The Sunless Citadel. This was the
first official adventure for the 3rd edition of D&D and has been updated to
5 th Edition. It combines combat, exploration, and roleplaying as the
party unravels the mysteries of a fortress built by dragon worshipers long
ago.
New players are welcome and encouraged. I will tailor this for people brand
new to 5 th ed. We’ll pause as needed to explain rules. I will run
"RAW" (Rules As Written) entirely (almost) so you can focus on the
core rules and your character.
So tuck your thinking cap under your helm and journey to the village of
Oakhurst!
ABOUT ME:
My first delve into D&D was 1976, the White Box. We didn’t have a clue.
Names were our names backwards, so I was Divad. The way they described
hit dice was "1st level 1DieX, 2nd level 2DieX, etc. " So we
thought that when you leveled up you rolled that level number of hit dice. So 1
HD at 1st, 2 HD at second, 10 HD at 10th. We had characters with 500 HP! We
went through the 1st Deities and Demigods supplement page by page,
killing each god and taking their stuff….
Fast forward to now. I'm getting back onto the saddle after a lengthy
illness (That's my jaw in the profile). I’m eager to hear some dice
rattling!
