[LFP] [Free] [D&D 5E] DM Looking for 2-3 Dedicated Players for a D&D Campaign on Wednesdays

Edited 1730139701
Circles of Alexandria Campaign Setting: Alexandria, a land that lives in the shadow of a long-dead ancient empire. System: D&D 5E (excluding 5E 2024 content) Gameplay: Roll20 with voice on a Discord server. Character Level: 2-14 Scheduling: Wednesdays at 8:00 PM Eastern Time Language: English This campaign is for 4-5 total players. --- Plot Overview In the rural outskirts of Alexandria, your party stumbles upon a malevolent cult of mages. As would-be heroes, you will find yourselves entangled in a perilous quest to thwart the silent ruin of the continent. Background Alexandria, once the mightiest empire in Avalon, was unified by the legendary warrior and sorceress, Sarah Alexander. Her rise to power, fueled by vengeance and a pact with Eos, Goddess of the Dawn, transformed her from a liberator to a conqueror. Now, centuries later, the land is rife with tension between the followers of Dawn’s Light and the remnants of ancient cults. --- About me and the game I have been an RPG player and GM for over 13 years. While I’m new to running games on Roll20, I’m excited to give it a shot and tell a great story! Here’s what you can expect from my DM style: Intrigue: Deep, meaningful interactions with NPCs, personal secrets, and complex politics. Exploration: Hidden locations, puzzles, and lore galore. Gameplay: While there will be ample combat, the focus will be on storytelling. Ultimately, we are telling the story of a group of companions who will grow, learn, succeed, and--sometimes--fail. The Rule of Cool: If a character's response to a situation is fun, it's probably possible to try even if not technically within the rules! Tone: The adventure will have tense and perilous moments, but the core will **not** be heavy, gritty realism. Expect moments of humor and camaraderie. Player Agency: Your choices will shape the story, and I encourage creative solutions and faithful role-playing. Inspiration: This adventure uses the Rise of the Black Coven module as a base, with heavy modifications. More revamping will likely be done as the adventure continues to better fit the player characters so that you can tell the greatest version of your story.  -- If you’re interested in joining, please post below, and I will reach out to you via PM. Here are some questions to help guide your response: What are you looking for in a D&D campaign? What are your favorite elements of TTRPGS (e.g., combat, role-playing, puzzles, exploration)? Is there anything you’re not interested in or want to avoid in this campaign? What days and times are you available for sessions? Feel free to share any additional information about your playstyle or past RPG experiences. I’m looking forward to learning about you and embarking on this epic journey together!

What you have cooking looks like fun. Character creation and mechanical freedom would be a generalized twined answer for your first 2 points. I'd rather not be dealing with random encounters or other unattached facets from the narrative if possible. Wednesdays sounds good. I'm happy to go into more details if needed.  If you have a seat available still, I'd be interested in tagging in.
What are you looking for in a D&D campaign? besides the A-typical "just a game", i love dnd and the 3 essentials, exploration, encounters, and e-interactions with the other players and npc's (roleplay, but wanted the 3 "e's" ) What are your favorite elements of TTRPGS (e.g., combat, role-playing, puzzles, exploration)?  definitely exploration. <3  Is there anything you’re not interested in or want to avoid in this campaign?     racism? Racism.  What days and times are you available for sessions?    i can try to tailor my times, but i can make the time currently set, and can talk with others if we gotta adjust for others.

What are you looking for in a D&D campaign?          I am looking for a game with a good amount of RP as well as fun combat and exploration.  I enjoy a game where my character's backstory is weaved into the campaign and like working with the DM to make it doable for both parties.  I want to be a part of a long term campaign where characters can grow organically and where I can hopefully make some great irl friends as well.  I'm a forever DM so I would also love to be on the player side of the table for a change of pace and this campaign sounds good. What are your favorite elements of TTRPGS (e.g., combat, role-playing, puzzles, exploration)?     Roleplaying is my favorite element of the games in general. Is there anything you’re not interested in or want to avoid in this campaign?         I'm generally not cool with explicit overly sexual content or racism.   What days and times are you available for sessions?         I am available most evenings after 6pm est til about 11pm EST except for Saturdays because I run a game then.
What are you looking for in a D&D campaign? I love being able to weave a story with the dm and other players What are your favorite elements of TTRPGS (e.g., combat, role-playing, puzzles, exploration)? Roleplay! Being able to play my character is more fun than just tons of combat imho.  Is there anything you’re not interested in or want to avoid in this campaign? I’m not really into the super gritty topics but I do like serious content as long as it’s approached respectfully. What days and times are you available for sessions? Evenings, every day except Saturdays!
Fun, Escapism, playing someone that is not me, make new friends. Roleplay and banter between party. Combat is fun when is meaningful, uncovering lore and exploring, an overarching story. Nah. Sunday to thursday from 16pm to max 22pm. Friday 16pm no limit saturday no problem at any given hour. Timezone CEST berlin I'm 40, well experienced with dnd 5e rule several module and homebrew.
Hey, I have a +1, is this game still looking for players? Thanks
