Lovecraft Country… You won’t find it on any map. There are no precise coordinates. You won’t find it in any travel guide. Yet, if you ever find yourself in Lovecraft Country, you will always feel its presence. Welcome to the eeriest part of New England, possibly the most haunted place in the world. You will travel through all of Lovecraft Country, starting from Kingsport, moving through the streets of Arkham and past Bolton, up to the Miskatonic River. You will climb into the hills of Dunwich, make your way to Falcon Point, and even further to cursed Innsmouth… What role will your investigator take, and what will be their fate as they explore Lovecraft Country and unearth it's ancient mysteries? Kingsport is located to the southeast of Arkham. T he town was founded in 1639 by colonists from southern England and the Channel Islands. It soon became a seaport and center for shipbuilding. Influenced by the Salem witch trials, the town hanged four alleged witches in 1692. During the American Revolutionary War, the port was briefly blockaded by the British when the town's merchants turned to privateering against the British fleet. In the 19th century, sea trade dwindled and the town turned to fishing as the main industry. Kingsport's economy continued to dwindle into the 20th century and today relies primarily on tourism for income. At least, on the surface. Beneath lurks an old evil, ancient and patient. Join us and your investigator may unearth these secrets.
Located in the northeastern part of Massachusetts, Dunwich is one of this area's oldest settlements, with no village in thirty miles even nearing its age. The region has many hills, several of which have large stone columns of unknown origins. The most recently constructed building is a mill at the falls which, like much of Dunwich, has fallen to ruin.&nbsp; Whilst the exact population of Dunwich is unknown it is undoubtedly small, with a number of extended families scattered haphazardly throughout the nearby countryside.&nbsp; A notable point of this town is Sentinel Hill. One of the many strangely-rounded hills in the nearby countryside, Sentinel Hill is a place with a dire reputation. It is crowned by a circle of incredibly ancient standing stones, surrounding a rock shaped somewhat like a sacrificial altar. What ancient secrets remain hidden in and around Sentinel hill? Join us on Thursdays and your investigator may well find out.
