BLK Screen/Maps

I have spent many hours creating a campaign on Roll20 and tried switching to the 2024 5E character sheets and in doing so, caused all my map layers to be black. reverting to the 2014 char. sheets fixed the issue but as I was looking for a solution I failed to see anything pertaining to this developer issue and only the repeated 3 step/add on browser scripted answer. Is there a way to convert to the 2024 on an old win7 pc with out losing my maps? pls refrain from "update pc" comments. I have my preference. Thank You, Lord Eldrith Eloom of the house Dubwa

Hi Eloom! I have not seen this issue reported elsewhere, and have not been able to duplicate it. Conversions are handled server-side, so the speed and power of your end computer shouldn't be an issue. I also can't think of anything in the conversion process which would cause map layers to become black. Do you mean that the background of the page is black (could be a settings issue), or that nothing at all is visible on them (I've no clue here). Instead of converting, I would suggest making a copy of the campaign from your campaign details page. If you have a lot of work put it, my further suggestion would be to set the sheet of the conversion to 2014, and add the 2024 as a second sheet after the fact, in-game. That should protect your existing assets from any nasty surprises.

Hi Eloom,  When you say you converted to 2024, did you also convert to Jumpgate from Legacy?  Also, which browser are you using and what is the version number?
I did not convert to jump-gate as i have no idea nor do i wish to know what it is. everything is working fine on my chrome browser and I thought I would go into game settings and change the character sheets to the 2024. it has been a wile since i last played and had no idea 5E released 5.5E. upon entering the campaign, all maps where black for the 20 minutes i spent looking in to the issue. after finding nothing helpful on this issue, i reverted back to the 2014 character sheets and everything loaded as normal.

Eloom, could you supply the version number of your Chrome browser?  You can find it by going to the top right corner of the browser, click the 3 dots, then hover on Help and click About Google Chrome.
