DM and player looking for three or four more players to join D&D 5th Edition Campaign

My friend and I are starting up a D&D campaign in about a week or two and we are looking for players to join. We would play, most likely, on weekends and either weekly or bi-weekly, whichever works best for everyone involved. Well I live in Japan and will probably be playing later in the evening on weekends. That means it will be mornings on the weekend for those living in the US. The game's DM is EST in the USA.

I would play but between Japan and Poland there are 8 hours. Means that if you start at 2 AM on Saturday/Sunday or sth, I could manage to join. If it's not that late I can be in. I've never played 5E, I can learn if needed though, not a problem.

I'd be interested in joining. I'd need to know more specifically what time EST it would be, but if it's on weekends, I can most likely manage it. I can play most roles, and I enjoy roleplaying, especially if I get to do a voice/accent.

Hey, I'm interested in joining. I've been playing 5e for a couple of weeks and have been looking for a morning weekend game, I usually prefer playing a healer or tank sort of archetype, but I am rather flexible when it comes to class choice.

DM here. Since obie is in Japan and I'm East Coast US, we're looking at Sundays, 6 or 7am my time, 7 or 8pm her time, and noon to 1pm GMT. I've been playing DnD since the 70s and GMing since the 80s, but 5E is new to me. With that in mind, I'm not too worried about encyclopedic knowledge of 5E as long as there's a willingness to adapt. Four to six players (excluding me) is ideal, assuming a nice mix of classes and function.

Hey Ruth I would be very interested in participating. I live in Adelaide, Australia (+9.5GMT), so i'm only half hour ahead of Japan's timezone. I have knowledge of 3.5e, and have read the 5e rules, though haven't played a game in full yet. i can adapt and play any character the party requires (whether mage, ranged damage, party face, skill monkey or tank). I always write a character back-story, and play my character to the story (even if some spell/feat/other choices aren't the best game play wise) as I feel this is the core of D&D, not power gaming, but making a character come alive and be more then just stats on a piece of paper

Glad to see the interest! At this point, after Nikki C., I think we'd better wait to see who's available and at what times before we take in any more. I don't like to discourage anyone with an active interest, but it might be a good idea to get a headcount before we go further. I'd rather try to fill a space later than say yes to somebody now and have to go back and turn people away. :)
