If all of this sounds fine to you, message me your discord or reply here

Found a gm in the end, genuinely don't see what the issue with the post was

the snarky elitism of this fandom always make me giggle. its like you want new players to join your hobby but put them down and psychoanalyse people for wanting to play it.

you talking about me needing to do introspection and saying nothing of value is incredible irony

Sounds like a spicey gang you got there. I wish I was man enough to think I even had a chance

Again, it's funny that people in this community seem to complain about a lack of people, yet berate and personally insult others for wanting to play or asking questions.

Even friendly advertisements get met with ERM AKSHUALLYs and elitist, egotistical paragraphs like people are expected to know the ins and outs of your hobby then acting like we're in the wrong because we dare to try it. Referring to yourself as the "CEO" really highlights what I'm talking about, as well as being so deluded as to think that people need to refute your points in an argument that you started, like you're an authority on all things tabletop and then psychoanalysing them because THEY must be abnormal for not wanting to engage with YOUR petty rudeness. Do you genuinely not see the irony in saying things like "you want an on-call coolie that doesnt ask questions" while berating someone for asking questions? come on man. get real.

What was even wrong with this in the first place? we only wanted to talk with someone to see what kinda angle they wanted to take for a campaign idea and how we could make some characters to fit into their world, see if we got along with them and when we could play. Should I have said "looking for a rude, argumentative and pedantic ass who can't make our schedule" instead?

and again, I am not the one who needs introspection in this "argument" (you making assumptions, psychoanalysing and insult slinging over a game, then demanding other people's time in arguing with you. Funny, you seem to have a problem with people making demands of others)

Genuinely no need for this childish behaviour at all man, honestly. It's supposed to be a fun hobby not a debate club.

0 is ego tripping. People need a way in, if you're gonna be that guy and make it difficult for everyone else - at least be constructive and say something worth our time.

I might be interested actually, i'll send a dm in a minute. For 0, I am a DM and i prefer browsing these boards for people looking for a DM instead of posting that i'm available, i prefer hosting a game with some direction from the players, so its fun seeing what people are after and choosing my players based on that. People do different things 0, get over it.

sorry Michael I only just saw this, we found someone not long after posting this ad

funny, i was just reading this in the forums, and it looks like you were having a conversation with a person named "0" but all their comments were removed, but i immediately knew who "0" was, but they also talked sht in one of my game postings.

I am also a GM, and read the forums looking for groups that want to play.  if your group ever wants a free GM check out my space western game ,  I record and animate my games and you can see them on youtube .  https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW8bCYO0w4Tmyly3MO1lHRrsQfszwWBFp&si=evCGmUrvSqkPms0d

Agreed, Firewinds. Looks like we only have half the conversation.

On the surface, Ratsmasher88 (you may want to ditch the 88 - it has connotations you likely don't mean) - What you are asking for is perfectly legit.

In reality, it does come off a bit entitled... like you have the leverage to 'interview' DM's to determine if they are good enough for your group.  DMing 5e is so complex and demanding that DMs are much rarer than people seeking them. So, in reality, DMs interview YOU to determine if you are worth DMing for. So, your request looks legitimate, but in the reality of 5e, it comes off as rubbing many DMs the wrong way.

Since you have five people, I suggest one of you try DMing. A group of friends trying something for the first time with one of them trying to DM, well, I have fond memories of that as a kid. (I ended up being the DM 90% of the time) :) Plus, I think 3-4 players and one DM is optimal, though others results may vary. If you do this and the person trying to DM wishes to ask questions or for some advice, I'd be happy to respond via PMs.

I personally think your original post is fine Ratsmasher88. Though sometimes I agree with 0, For example firewinds is a extremist in his political views and a big conspiracy believer. You can just watch his videos to see that.
But in this case I feel you didn't do anything wrong and this post was necro from 3 months ago.

O is just entitled and thinks his mom should pay him to live in her basement, Shadowbaby is just afraid of facts and truth, but its ok cause he is a big fan of my channel and watches whenever he feels sad because hes got no friends.
