Forever GM looking for playtesters for a new campaign in my own system. Free. 4-6 players total. Monday or Tuesday evenings, EST. About the Campaign: It's called Empire's Dawn . It’s an epic setting, designed to explore conflicting loyalties and ethics with high emotional stakes. It’s intended to be 50/50 RP, but that really depends on the players. The campaign begins with a prologue set 100 years before the main story, using pre-made characters. This sets up the story and gives you a chance to try my system before making any character choices. After that, we’ll do a proper session zero: rolling up characters, creating backstories, and establishing connections between them and the world. (I give magic items for good backstories. Thanks, Matt Mercer!) I’m thinking Monday or Tuesday evenings, EST, but we can work out the timing as a group. The pace of leveling will be accelerated. You will level up every second session, from level 3 to 20, so the campaign will last 36 sessions, unless we experience a TPK (Total Party Kill), with a few extra sessions added if needed. This because I need the balance testing, so I earn it with my best campaign. About Me: I’ve been a GM for more than 30 years, starting with Advanced D&D. When my campaign characters became too overpowered, I began making changes to 2e, and I’ve been tweaking systems ever since. I’m an easygoing GM who tries to be stingy with magic items. I do terrible accents enthusiastically and often, though I occasionally manage a good one. I don’t love evil parties, but it’s definitely possible in this campaign. About RavenLore: This is version 5, and it’s fully mature now. It focuses on gritty realism and sustained tension rather than the cartoony healing and massive power ramps of 5e. There are no fixed classes. All skills, feats, and powers are purchased from the same pool of points. I find the prologue gives everyone a chance to see it in action at a high level, with strong but obvious builds. If you’re interested, let me know your availability and share a bit about yourself—your play style, experience, desires, fears, Netflix preferences, whatever’s on your mind.
