The way sharing books currently works is, there are three options: The game owner shares none of his books (but he has them available for himself). This is accomplished by identifying which books to include in the game, and setting the switch "Share my Compendium with players" to "No". Have none of the books available to anyone. Identifying which books to have in the game, and allowing all players access to all of them. This is accomplished by identifying which books to include in the game, and setting the switch "Share my Compendium with players" to "Yes". But, there's one option missing: the option to have all of the books in the game available to the GM, but only have SOME of the books available to the players. I believe this is a necessary and useful option that currently doesn't exist. Here is an example of its use: Suppose you are playing D&D 5E and you want to have the Monster Manual available to you in the game so you can drag&drop monsters onto the VTT, but you don't want your players to have access to the Monster Manual? Currently, there's no way to do that. Another example: in games like Call of Cthulhu, there is an air of mystery involved. Very often, players will come upon tomes or references to something that's under another name, but you really don't want the players to be going through the Compendium looking for that name. They might, for example, learn a spell like "Bring Forth the Winged Steed" which sounds like a useful and benign spell but, in reality, that calls upon a horrible creature that costs them Sanity to see it, and could eat them if they can't control it. There are many situations where you might want to have access to a book in the Compendium for your reference, for drag&drop, or other purposes, but you don't want he players to have access to the information. I would like to see this option added to the Compendium sharing, so that you can add books to your game, but mark only some of those books to be available to the players.
