Zoom Tool on Linux

In both Chromium and Firefox on linux I cannot use the zoom tool.  Clicking the magnifying glass icon brings up the menu that says '100%', but attempting to click on this to make a selection simply causes it to disappear.
Confirmed this problem existing in  Chromium 24.0.1312.35 (171386) on Gentoo.

Could you go to&nbsp; <a href="http://supportdetails.com/" rel="nofollow">http://supportdetails.com/</a> and give us the information it supplies (except for IP address)? Thanks - Gauss
This is a known issue. Use alt+scroll wheel to zoom with chrome on linux.
Are there any prospects for getting the issue resolved, for those of us who are on laptops that also don't have a scroll wheel? &nbsp;I can use the zoom in and out functionality in the chromium menus to do the same sort of thing, but that changes the zoom level of the entire browser tab, which means everything that isn't the map also zooms out. &nbsp; It's far from ideal. Even just a hotkey for changing the zoom of the map only would be nice. Confirmed with multiple systems, so I'm posting them all below. &nbsp;Everything is the same except for the browser, so I didn't repeat the other information. Operating System:&nbsp; Linux Screen Resolution:&nbsp; 1366 x 768 Web Browsers:&nbsp; Chrome 22.0.1229.94, &nbsp;22.0.1229.94,&nbsp;Firefox 12.0, Firefox 20.0 Browser Size:&nbsp; 1366 x 681 Color Depth:&nbsp; 24 bit Javascript:&nbsp; Enabled Flash Version:&nbsp; 11.2.202 Cookies:&nbsp; Enabled
FYI - A very similar problem occurs on Android devices (in case this helps the devs to find the problem)
Operating System Linux Screen Resolution 2560 x 1600 Web Browser Chrome 24.0.1312.35 Browser Size 1265 x 1492 Color Depth 24 bit Javascript Enabled Flash Version 11.2.202 Cookies Enabled
Google Chrome Version 26.0.1410.63 (no change to standard security settings) Flash&nbsp;11.2 r202 Linux Mint 14, 64bit I haven't tested the builtin video/sound tool. Everything looks normal except that the zoom tool resolution list disappear before I get to select one as described in the OP. It works fine in Firefox (20.0).
