I'm having problems using attributes in macros

I've read the posts on this issue (those I could find at least) and the help/docs. Everyone says "keep typing and the filter will refine your search." This is true as far as I can tell, as long as you stick to one word. As soon as I put in a space to go to another word all suggestions go away. So if I want to use the Listen bonus for a character and that character isn't in the top five how do I proceed? I have tried searching for Listen (the top five Characters with Listen come up and I can't continue because a space stops the search.) I have tired searching by the Characters name (I get the top five attributes for that character and cannot refine the search further because as soon as I put in a space or colon on anything after the character name, such as Nero Listen , or Nero: Listen or any such combination I can come up with, the filter stops giving suggestions. What am I missing here?

I am assuming that you are using regular Macros as opposed to Ability Macros.  Type the following in where you want the attribute to be:  @{Journal|Attribute}  where Journal is the Journal name and Attribute is the Attribute name. If this does not help let me know. - Gauss
Works perfectly! This is much better, thanks Gauss. Brad
