Help a DM practice 5E, October 5, 6 PM, Eastern central time

Hey guys, I'm an experienced DM from fourth edition and played for a couple of years. I like to sink my teeth in the fifth edition but I don't feel comfortable enough to run a full campaign yet. I want to just run a few encounters me with a loosely based story, to help me figure out difficulty how combat works and what I can expect, as well as my choices and designing encounters. This will be a one-shot, with the possibility of developing to a full campaign. If you're interested, I would like the following qualities 1. No min/max-ing, just simple characters 2. I don't expect perfect knowledge of the system, but I do expect that you have read through the basic rules, and know your character well enough that you can explain to me how the abilities work. 3. People who are more interested in having fun than "winning" that sounds like a good time to you then please reply in this message string.
Bump
Would you be willing in DMing a Offical module ? :)
Hey Richie, I'm in eastern time zone (michigan) and would be up for trying it out. I've played several 5e games and ran some as well. Playing mines of phandelver on mondays on roll 20, and i ran hoard of dragon queen on saturdays and sundays but the groups not going to be able to meet for awhile and i'm getting the shakes w/ out my dnd fix of almost every day playing. hahaha. :-) I'd be up for playing any class / race, etc. Did you have any plans for what levels, which way you wanted peoples' to create characters, either using point buy or using roll 20 to roll, etc.? Anywho, I'm up for playing this sunday. :)
It would just be basic level 1 chars. Before I promise anything I really just need to run some dummy sessions to feel out the rules.
Alright guys, we are on for tomorrow. I have 2 others joining in. See you guys then.
