Looking for Players for a D&D 3.5 Campaign! Hey there! I’m looking for 5 to 6 players to join a D&D 3.5 game that I’m planning to run. The campaign is set to last about 8 sessions , with each session running 4 to 5 hours , and will be played bi-weekly starting on March 4th, 2025 (starting 5pm CST, GMT-6). Whether you’re experienced with the 3.5 system or completely new to it, you’re welcome to join! If you’re interested, feel free to reply or send me a message so we can chat more. I’m putting together a handout that will cover all the details about the world, character creation, and other important info. It’ll be ready in the next few days, so you’ll have plenty of time to look it over and get everything ready before we start. A Little About Me Hi, I’m Matt! I’ve been playing D&D since I was 16, starting with AD&D 2nd Edition , but my main experience is with 3.0 and 3.5 , which I’ve been running since they came out in 2000. I’ve also played and run games in 4th Edition and 5th Edition , but I keep coming back to 3.5—it’s the system I enjoy the most and know like the back of my hand. As a DM, I like to keep things fun and relaxed while encouraging players to really get into their characters and the story. If you have any questions about me, my DM style, or the campaign itself, don’t hesitate to ask—I’m happy to talk! If you're interested in playing when you contact me please try to reply to the following:  Do you have any experience with D&D 3.5? If so, how much? If not, that's perfectly fine.  Are you 18 or over? (I don't need your specific age unless you feel comfortable sharing) What do you like to go by? (Name, nickname, pronouns... etc.) If you are selected what kind of character do you think you would like to play? (Race, class... etc.) What are some things you would like to see from your DM? Are you going to have issues with adult themes? (No sexual stuff, but violence, swearing... etc.)

A little late to the party post, but do you need another player? In case it's a yes, or to just sell myself for a potential future campaign, my answers are below: 1. Yes. about 10 years spread over a handful of campaigns.  2. Yeah, I'm a bit grizzled coming in at ::gasp:: 41. 3. King (no genuflection required) or Kissel 4. Not sure. I have a couple builds that I'm bummed never got going. However, I usually like to learn more about the campaign/theme and build something based around that. I like to know what the group already consists of, as well.  5. I don't like being stuck on the rails, so to speak. There may be hooks and things of note thrown out that I feel my character or the party would take interest in. Without going too deep, I like a DM that isn't afraid to roll with weird/unique ideas/approaches/perspectives.  6. Not in the slightest. Matter of fact, I prefer it.
1. i played like 3 games but never finished one because they would never continue doing it. 2. i am 30 years old 3. i go by al or my character name 4. if selected i would like to be a orc fighter class 5. funny narrations and good storyline. 6. no im open to all violence and swearing etc.
If this is still open Do you have any experience with D&D 3.5? If so, how much? If not, that's perfectly fine.  Been playing 3.5 since it was 3.0. 15k hrs. Are you 18 or over? (I don't need your specific age unless you feel comfortable sharing) Yes What do you like to go by? (Name, nickname, pronouns... etc.) Soft If you are selected what kind of character do you think you would like to play? (Race, class... etc.) I play a human artificer, usually of the RAW variety (all crafting feats given per text > chart). My role is usually support depending on the party. This may or may not work depending on starting level. I'm very much against being the party santa claus for item in my old age. What are some things you would like to see from your DM? Respect when a player does something that changes the world or in meta let them know why it didn't work if the game says it should. If it's for story reasons, that's okay, but I hope it doesn't become a habit. Been in too many games where the party (usually my character tbh) oneshots an 'important' npc and it doesn't stick or even work for nongamemechanic reasons. If resources are expended for a 100% failure beyond the rules, it hurts the class I play. Are you going to have issues with adult themes? (No sexual stuff, but violence, swearing... etc.) Slavery and Grape on pcs has ruined too many games I've been in.
Ok, sorry for the late response, I took some time away for a little bit.  So, the game set up for March 3rd is currently full. However, I should have one or two openings for a game on the 10th of March.  Other than that I'm considering opening up a third session for this but that would be at a very odd time. Wednesday mornings around 8 or 9am CST.

If you're interested in playing when you contact me please try to reply to the following:  Do you have any experience with D&D 3.5? If so, how much? If not, that's perfectly fine.   Are you 18 or over? (I don't need your specific age unless you feel comfortable sharing).  What do you like to go by? (Name, nickname, pronouns... etc.)  If you are selected what kind of character do you think you would like to play? (Race, class... etc.).  What are some things you would like to see from your DM?  Are you going to have issues with adult themes? (No sexual stuff, but violence, swearing... etc.) ---------- Answers:  ---------- Regarding time:  For 3.5x I'd be willing to get up dawn my time :) Or if eventually another day/time slot that I may squeeze into.  1. A great deal.  Primary d20 system I run these days is 3.75 (Pathfinder 1e).    2. Yes. As old as Ding Dings. Still a stabbity stab gnome at heart though.  3. Mike if in ooc or if in ic whatever my character name will be. 4. Whatever combination gets me a spot, even if 100% core PHB :)  That said if most wotc published is available... leaning towards the lesser played like say a Deep Halfling Warblade, a Reborn Dragonborn Whisper Gnome Dragonfire Adept (mouthful), Blue Psion, etc.   5. Allow player agency and thinking outside the box.  Wouldn't mind a touch of RP vs. roll play but again I'll play whatever is available like celebrity tucker's kobold free for all tournament deathmatch.  Oh and I like to have a bit of light humor just to keep things a bit chillax so I may crack the occasional joke.  And the usual: respect, every pc gets to shine (no one left behind), rule of cool. Wishlist: starting > level 1 OR fast milestone advancement. Though again not a must-have.  It's more of a how many times one has made a character and the game goes poof. (sadface) 6. Swearing? No worries. I'm a big boy now! /// Wait no ERP??? Oh man was finally going to get to use the Book of E####c Fantasy!!! (that was a joke), though I did  use the STD section on some players who sole focus was the er...red light district.  Other: I run several games a week so March 3/4 (Mon-Tuesday) afternoon-evening (Pacific Time) is a bit problematic.  But I've currently cleared my calendar for Wednesdays.  I'll get up at dawn if it means I get some 3.x in.   EDIT: as your update since Mon/Tues are full I'm okay until you go with another day or if something opens up.   Anyway please LMK if I get my old books out out of cold storage :)
