Traveller character sheet - accolade, praise and... Q ;-)

First of all... Thank you for such a marvelous job! 💕 I can possibly find something to complain or bitch about - but I'll have to dig very deep indeed to find any such! 🥳 Ah yes, the previous thread was automatically closed, after a mere two months of inactivity. So a new thread was apparently necessary. Never fret, it's a kind one. 🥰 Ok and fair enough, one thing I, as a referee, would like to see adjusted is when a roll is presented with red for a "1" and green for a "6". That doesn't really help me, as it doesn't influence the result.  Marking a double "1" red and a double "6" green, on the other hand, would be a tremendous help. Hello for me and bated breath anticipation for my players - because now something spectacular will happen... For boon this would be red for all three dice being "1", and green if all three dice comes "6" for bane. And talking about boon and bane... How about stepping outside the rules a bit and give us "very" easy/hard, ie rolling four dice for boon and bane. Yes, I make extensive use of boon and bane, thus avoiding a tremendous amount of fiddling around and talking about modifiers and difficulty. It would only need a checkbox, making the boon or bane roll "very easy/hard". Oh yes, boon and bane works as they are, a madam can wish - right? 💃 The main point is the red/green thingy. 🤣/😱 Happily Yours Whilma  Sweden

My recommendation would be to do something visually different rather than (or in addition to) red/green; I actually play with a few people who are color blind and red/green wouldn't help them at all.  So something like red+italic for 1's and green+bold for 6's or something like that, if this type of change is implemented. Just something to consider.

So, I had a thought about how it isn't possible to add new Characteristics to the Dropdown menu for skills...but sometimes you want to have a Skill be based on one of the alternate characteristics like Luck or Sanity, etc. What do you think about this as a fix? Perhaps you could add a "Custom" Slot to the skill Dropdown? This why if you wanted to base a Skill Roll off of Luck, you could choose the Custom Slot in the characteristic dropdown (which would be a 0 Mod), and just add the mod by hand when the roll asks for a mod? Oh! As I was translating an old version of the character sheet to the new Official one, I noticed the Lifepath section is now missing. Could we get the Lifepath section back?  And do you think it would be possible to have a repeating section for the study periods?

Hi all, Many thanks Whilma for your kind words :-) Apologies, I missed this thread, I will look into these… TrooperSJP - we’ve touched base aleady Whilma / Finderski - I’ll look into the representation of crits and fails As this is an official sheet I’m maintaining for Mongoose (as well as creating the Traveller rulebooks as Roll20 Compendiums) I’m not sure about the Boon/Bane number of dice change, but I will take a look, I have an idea for how to do it unobtrusively… Thanks again, ~ Coryphon ~
