[LFP][Free][18+][D&D5E Legacy] DM Looking for Players for Upcoming Campaign

Hello, my name is Mica (they/them), I am an Indigenous roleplayer and I have been DMing since the beginning of the pandemic. I recently created a TTRPG Discord server called Tales & Taverns where this game will be hosted and where I currently run 1 other campaign. This campaign is very open, including the setting, because I would like to determine the exact setting and vibe at the table. To check for interest I've come up with a few things I'd like to have in the campaign. Campaign Checklist: Playing: D&D 5E Legacy (2014) rules with Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Bastions (D&D5E 2024), and homebrew Total Players Needed: 4-6 Schedule Frequency: Once a week, to be determined (likely a Mon-Thursday or Saturday evening MST timezone) Required Applications: Discord, Roll20 RP Heavy - my games tend to heavily lean on roleplaying over combat. Combat ties into the plot similar to Brennan Lee Mulligan campaigns. Collaborative - the plot will be strongly influenced by your character. Your background will be used to create the world. Drama - I encourage you to treat this game as your show. This doesn't mean be a full chaos gremlin, but you should have a clear idea of who your character is within the first few sessions. Domestic Elements - I'd love to sometimes focus on things that are happening in the background rather than all adventure. This includes introducing Bastions, owning businesses, or focusing on your character's home life. Lore Heavy - I will be utilizing World Anvil to share information about the world and will expect players to use it moving forward to take and share session notes and read through the created lore. Unique Races - I'd like to do something special with this game and ask that all players create a unique character using Tasha's guidelines on race. Fixed Schedule - I'd like play every week for a few months then take a break for a month in order to play a Dimension 20 style campaign where a full arc is played and finished within the time frame. Been playing for about seven years.  Setting Idea:  When it comes to my prefered settings, I like high fantasy with plenty of rich lore and mystery. Also a bit of a sucker for magitech but nothing required. If I get into a game where character backstory matters, that is a pretty big plus.

Since I started listening to games, I've played in several games over the past few years, including 3 West Marches. I also DM from time to time when I'm in the mood.  Been playing for maybe 5-7 years now? Setting Idea:  I like High fantasy settings, but I'm usually open to new things.  I want to play in a world that is full of interesting NPC's and situations to interact with. I'm wanting a living, breathing world, that we as players can learn about while we play. I  want my character to feel like they exist in the world and have a impact in some shape or form, whether it's their backstory or what they end up doing.

Setting Idea:  I am totally and utterly flexible. I enjoy all types of settings whether it’s homebrew or out of a book, I’m gonna have lots of fun. I listen/watch a few D&D podcasts and shows (TAZ, Dimension20, Tales from the Stinky Dragon). Of the days you listed in the Frequency section, I'm free for any of them except Monday. I'm in the same time zone, and for the remaining days I'm available after 530 pm Tuesday and Wednesday. After 430 pm on Thursday. And all day Saturday. Setting Idea:  I really enjoy high fantasy, though some magitech elements are always welcome. But in all honesty, I'm fine playing any setting really. I do like when backstories come into play during the game, with character story arcs and such. I hope to hear from you! Setting Idea:  I like high fantasy where the world feels lived in. Things have happened in the past and/or currently going on. I really like backstories being worked into the story whether it's friends, rivals, or enemies.

Name/Alias:  Peebs Discord Username:  peebleswiggins About You:  I've played on and off for around 6 years, both as a player and as a DM. (Mainly as a player though!) Setting Idea:  I lean towards high fantasy, as I love to play casters. I enjoy when worlds feel alive thanks to the NPCs that reside in it, i.e. they all have a place in the story and a reason for existing. I love when character motivations tie into one another!

We've decided on Wednesday, March 19th at 6PM MST (AZ without daylight savings time) as the Session 0 meeting day. Wednesdays at 6PM MST will be the future game day! In Session 0 we'll determine the theme and setting of the campaign, talk about player consent, set expectations, and figure out the final table. We'll also roll for stats together. Early setting vibes are something like a high fantasy space opera with inspiration from Star Wars, Saga, Firefly, and Cowboy Bebop.

I'm currently running a PbtA game with a separate group of friends, but would love to get the chance to be a player again! Setting Idea: I love alt-fantasy settings, including historical fantasy, urban fantasy, and--of course-- space fantasy. It's fun finding new ways to approach old tropes, and I like making characters whose backstories can fit into and expand the world that the GM has created.
