Introduce Yourself (Player, GM, or both; time zone)

Introduce yourself!: Hello im Melvin/Mel Tell us whether you're a GM, a player or both: seeing how I am new to the system I think it would be best for me to be just a player right now Let us know your time zone so we can coordinate better with games: my timezone is in EST  Then regail us with tales of your experience (or inexperience) with Fate, what you want to learn about the system and settings, and what sort of characters you want to play, and what campaigns you want run or you want to GM.: I've played, naruto d20, starfinder, starwars 5e, D&D 5e & 3.5, and a few other systems that I cant think of rn
Hello.  My name is Chris.  I enjoy rpg.  I've been dabbling with learning to gm.  I have fun being creative and developing characters and stories.  Still getting a handle on managing mechanics.  I am new to FATE, but really like the way it is put together.   I am in Central Time Zone.  I am looking for possible groups/games to join.
Hey all,  I'm Keyton. I'm both a GM and a Player. Eastern Timezone GMT-5 (looking for an every other week, weekday night game) I've GM'd D&D (all but 4e), Pathfinder, Fate, Monster of the Week, others. I'd really love to dive into a good Fate campaign, maybe using A Spark of Fate (which I've not used before). If I can't find a group, I'll start one and run but might prefer to play a bit for now... Keyton
Tell us whether you're a GM, a player or both. I'm Corey, and I'm a player I'm in the Eastern Time Zone. I've played Fate a few years ago not sure of the edition and have played a selection of other games including D&D 3.5 & 5, Pathfinder 1, The Sprawl, and other PBTA games, VTM 5e.  I'm not looking for a specific settings just something that catches my interest.

I can GM FATE or just play. For time limitation reasons would prefer to play. I exclusively would like to play within a superhero universe with original characters. I prefer loose games that are heavy on storytelling and player interaction and light on rules stuff.
Ethan +Player +CDT (GMT-5) CST (GMT-6) I work nights so I'm also gaming on the nights I'm off. Usually means I'm playing with Europeans and Aussies. Which is cool. I have about a year exp in terms of TTRPG but 0 in FATE. I bought the book a long time ago. It seems much easier and yet harder at the same time. Easier because it is more narrative driven but harder because after playing games like D&D that rely so heavily on rules having so few turns into a "can I even do this? or am I doing this right?" situation. So I'm eager to learn since it can be applied to any genre of gaming.
Hi Fellow Gamers, I've new to Fate having only read through Condensed a few weeks ago so I think it would be best for me to be just a player right now but would be interested to GM at some point. I'm based in the UK so my timezone is GMT+1. Currently, my only free night is Wednesday. I've played D&D for more years than I care to remember but a couple of my roleplaying friends have suggested that it's time I tried out something else that is better suited for what I want to play these days. Here's what they said: "You want to try and fit D&D for everything, Graham, since it is what you are familiar with, but there are better systems for things that D&D wasn't built for.  FATE was pretty much built around the idea of cooperative improvisation, so that system supports that approach far better for what you're now looking to do." While my preference is to play in a fantasy setting I'm so keen to play Fate that I'd be very happy with any setting. Lastly, I agree with what Ethan said above that Fate seems much easier and yet harder at the same time because of our D&D backgrounds. But can't wait to give it a try!
Hi, Doug, EST/EDT (GMT-5/4) Player, working towards GM Despite my time zone, my schedule allows for afternoon games more than late nights, so western European evening games would be easier than west coast American late nights. I've played a bit of 4th and 5th edition D&D over the years, but I've never been able to get enough local interest to start a FATE game.  I'm hoping to play some games with patient folks who can help me learn online table top systems, and then maybe work my way up to running something.  I own a few of the books, and I've read several others that I was able to borrow, but I lack real experience actually playing the game. I have a preference towards fantasy settings, mostly because of the baked in sense of wonder that accompanies the inherent unknown of a magical world, but I also love scifi, comic heroes, wuxia, dramatized or alternate history, and the whole salad of genres ending in "punk".  Just give me any sort of world to explore, mystery to solve, or adventure to experience, and I'm in.
Hi I'm Will  A player with to much time and depression who may consider dming but not likely  I'm a socially awkward nerd on the higher functioning end of the autism spectrum with too much time to burn. I have low self esteem and a myriad of mental health issues, generational anger problems included. However I'm generally a chill and relaxed guy so long as you're nice in return. I like exercising my sense of humor and generally it takes specific things to actually get me pissed but I'll help you out and even brain storm for a simple price light conversation. I know this explanation about myself seems bleak but I'm just being honest and letting people know ahead of time about this crap I call life. On brighter side of things I am intelligent and fun loving. I tend to prefer laughs and philosophical thinking over drama so I like teamwork and personally love to roleplay despite how bad I am at it This has been my Ted talk and I'll see yall in game
Hi, I am Tomas. My English is bad, my time is virtually non existent, by body and mind are burdened by more than 4 decades. I like to visit other time and places and create moments worth to remember. I prefer movie-like vision of events with views from different angles, or contrast of big picture and details. I am really silver-tongued in my native language and it stings to be robbed of this joy in English. I tend (may be too much) to merry spirit, good deeds and toxic optimism, but on other hand I am quite tolerable and really tolerant.   I would like to join some fantasy-ish FATE game, but I didn't stumble upon any,, so I am so dare, that i try ti DM my first game on Roll20.  CET time zone (Czech rep.)
Hello friends. I am Jenn. UK-based (GMT or GMT+1 in summer). I'm recently graduated to online ttrpg - been doing the hobby since 2010-ish, but until very recently I only ever did this with pencils, papers and little towers of dice in my living room. Times have changed, a plague came, friends moved on or away, so I discovered the 21st century way of playing.  I have run FATE a few times - exclusively core, but after playing it, I am a Condensed convert. It may be my 'forever system' - I'm a storyteller at heart, more than a worldbuilder, roleplayer or crunch-head. I get terrible performance anxiety GM-ing, though, so at the moment, with my other life commitments, I'm happiest being a player - that may change in the future. In a Friday and a Sunday game at the moment and loving being back in the nerd space after so long.  I like trad fantasy and will try other stuff if it's good.
Hello, I'm Abbo I'm completely new to Fate so I will be just a player for now. My timezone is GMT+1 I don't have any experience with Fate, I've played other games like CoD, WoD, Cyberpunk red and 2020 and blades in the dark, I would really like to learn Fate and I don't have any particular preference regarding the setting.
Hello, I'm J.D. My timezone is EST. typically available evenings and weekends  I'm new to the Fate system but i'm quickly familiarizing myself with how it works. Genuinely interested in the narrative and collaborative aspect of it. I'm a huge City of Mist fan and i feel like there are a lot of parallels in terms of creativity. I love futuristic, steam, cyberpunk and modern day fantasy settings just to name a few. I'm excited to get creative and play with you all!
Hey guys! I'm Craig. I'm 26 and I'm hoping to be a player of FATE! I've run a game once or twice and I played once as well but I'm really itching to play!  I'm in EST and right now Tuesday and Thursday evenings are the best for me.  I'm super excited to try any kind of FATE game. But if anyone is running Masks, that caught my attention a while back. Hope to see you guys around!
Player and dm.  I come mostly from 3 e 5 e and call of Cthulhu. I wanted to play a fate universe game that wasn’t conducive to dnd, and decided fate looked promising, so Iv been learning it the last few months. The current circumstances have made me more conducive to online games that I was in the past. I am ctz.
Hi, I'm Vince Role : Player for now. I GM other games but I don't know the rules of Fate well enough for that just yet. I'd like to get a few games under my belt first. Time Zone : Eastern Time Zone So far my experience with Fate is limited to reading the rules and watching people play it on the internet but I am fascinated by the rules system and enjoy these more narrative driven games, quite a bit.
Hi Everybody, My name is Nick. I am a lifelong RPG fan who is relatively new to the virtual space. I am a player and GM. Although my games of choice are Cthulhu, Free League products and Savage Worlds, I have been fascinated by FATE since I first read the prepublication version in 2006. My IRL group is a little phobic about anything that isn’t Pathfinder so I joined Roll20 to get exposure to other rule sets and meet gamers with similar interests. I am a story oriented gamer so the new style of game that FATE represents is exciting to me. I haven’t had an opportunity to run it yet though I am a working professional on EST so I don’t have as much time as I would like to explore the new style of games. Nick
Hello, I'm Ian. For now I'm just a player as I cant quite wrap my head around the nuances of Fate and would like to get some games down before I start hosting any myself.  I'm EST Outside of Fate I love finding and using new systems and finding their bounds and niches. Been GMing since 2012.
Hello, my name is Sergio and I'm from Spain. I love horror, Cthulhu myths, science fiction, steampunk, cosmic horror, dystopias like the one on Blame!,.... I know how to master games and be a player. More comfortable on speaking Spanish but I have a decent level of English. Not only interested on Fate. These are some games I own: Fate Core, Evolution Pulse, Vampire, Trauma Unit, 1800, Star Wars, The Void, Call of Cthulhu,... Always willing to learn from other people.
Hello, my name is Ted. I am from Slovakia, so my english isnt that good, but it isnt that bad either. My timezone is CET or GMT+1 Role: Player, for now, and maybe some day I will make my own campaign I have been playing ttrpgs for around 3 years and I have been even gming in some campaigns. Though, I wouldnt call myself a great gm. The first ttrpg that I have ever played was D&D 5e, but then I played some pathfinder, both 1st and 2nd edition and even some FATE, however I still dont know the FATE system that well. I have been gming in a system called Dragon Ball Universe, so from that you can tell that I am a weeb, but not the bad kind, and I have also dmed a dnd campaign and I am curently gming a cortex campaign
Hi, Luiz here, I can play or GM Fate games, someone want to play?
Hello all! I'm Mike H - MonsterMike most places online. I'm a seasoned GM and player who loves the FATE system.  I'm in the US Central time zone (GMT-5).  Not really looking to run any games through Discord, but generally happy to play.
Hi my name is Lance. I was introduced to FATE by the Dresden Files. Open to play though my hours are somewhat limited. I'm in Central time zone US.
Hello everyone. My name is David. I have rich experience with DnD as player and GM, but I would like to expand my knowledge of other systems. My style of play is focused on role play and creating catching situations without the need to exhaust myself with rules. Thus FATE Accelarated cought my eye as it allows to play simple and in various scenarios including scifi. I got pretty excited about Ghost Planets and I would love to try play with someone (as player). I would appreciate someone willing to set and GM some one shot as it would allow me to persuade my group to try this system. My timezone is EU (GMT+1) and playtime in evening. Thanks in advance for any messages!
Hello Everyone, + Player + Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5) or Daylight Time (GMT-4) My name is BossBedlam. My experience with Fate is a newbie player. I love, love, love playing in zombie survival games. My style is a casual player, power gamer, and storyteller. Love Golden Rule. Hate PvP. /Boss
Introduce yourself!: Hello I'm Phili (Like the cheese steak)  Tell us whether you're a GM, a player or both: I'm interested in being a player cuz I've never used the system before. After some experience I'd be interested in GMing as well. Let us know your time zone so we can coordinate better with games: My current timezone is CST/GMT-5or-6 depending on the time of year. Then regail us with tales of your experience (or inexperience) with Fate, what you want to learn about the system and settings, and what sort of characters you want to play, and what campaigns you want run or you want to GM.: I've played in the unofficial rwby ttrpg, Call of Cthulu, D&D 3.5, 4e, 5e, Pathfinder 1e, 2e. I've never played FATE but I would be interested in leraning. I don't know too much about it right now, but I'm interested in a more naratively driven system that allows for a more story telling focus on games.
My name is Fred, and I'm new to Fate.  For the most part, I'm a Game Master.  I'm based in Ireland, so that would be GMT+1. For now I'm mostly running fantasy games, but I also run horror. Often times the two blend together.
Introduce yourself: Names Fatherpuddin  Tell us whether you're a GM, a player or both: I'd say player at the moment but I would love to learn more on how you GM a system like this. Let us know your time zone so we can coordinate better with games: CST Then regail us with tales of your experience (or inexperience) with Fate, what you want to learn about the system and settings, and what sort of characters you want to play, and what campaigns you want run or you want to GM:  I only started playing this system about a month ago and from what I have played and learned I love it and would love to learn more on how to GM a system like this. Character wise I'm not entirely sure and what you can make, but if I had to say, I like to make more supporting characters; characters who can get development  if we have the time but is mostly there to help other characters grow and develop .  For campaigns I would like to run I got a setting i've had brewing in my head for a couple of years now that I'm  trying to refine at this very moment. As for my general tabletop experience I started out playing D&D 3e then I kind of went down the line from there, I jumped on Pathfinder for a bit that never really stuck, I've also played / GM'ed some games in Cypher and Scion. I've also played some 5e adjacent systems and I'm even helping playtest one for a friend of mine.

Hello! I'm a player (not a GM) in EST/EDT time zone:  GMT -04:00, New York. I'm interested in joining a new or already established group, particularly for Dresden Files. My TTRPG experience is mainly in Pathfinder (1&2), D&D (3.5, 5), Band of Blades, and Ryuutama.
Hello, I'm a player. Timezone: GMT +8 My experience with TTRPG is limited to very few D&D 5e games. Someone introduced to FATE and I wanted so badly to try it. Unfortunately, the one who introduced me the system couldn't GM it for reasons, so I have to look elsewhere if I want to start playing it. So here I am ^^
Hey there everyone. My name is Sean. I am a player. (mainly due to my relative lack of experience with tabletop RPGs, might be interested in DMing once I got more of a handle on a system I like.) My timezone is GMT-6/mountain time zone in the USA, Utah is the state. My experience is only a few D&D 5e games and one FATE campaign from a long time ago. I kinda got introduced to tabletop RPG games as a whole from social therapy stuff a while ago, decided to run with it since I like tabletop RPG games now. I do get ahead of myself/too excited sometimes during gameplay/goofy scenes and whatnot sometimes.  I  interested in looking at playing FATE and 5e D&D (though FATE in general is the more interesting one for me as of now since I haven't gotten to really play it). I am hopeful that I can find a good group to have at least a few sessions with, if not an actual campaign. Fantasy, modern/near-modern, Sci-FI/science fantasy, or cyberpunk is what I am interested in in terms of settings/setting genres. I am looking for something combat-centric, with some story with it.
Hello! My name is Otto. I am a player (never having played FATE before) but I would be interested in GMing sometime once I get a handle on the system.  My time zone is GMT-4/Eastern Standard Time from Indianapolis. My experience with tabletop games has really only  been in the realm of DnD, which I played for a few years with one group  before leaving, haven't played for a good couple years but I've recently gained an interest in playing more with different systems (FATE and GURPS included). I love creative solutions and roleplay which is literally what FATE is made for.  I REALLY like horror themes/settings, and I really like sci-fi, modern, or really any interesting setting. Of course fantasy is classic, but I like it when there's a twist of some sort, but I'm not that picky lol. I like a good mix of story, puzzles, and combat and I appreciate DMs who spark creativity and nurture intrigue.

Howdy folks, I'm an RPG player/GM from way back in UTC+12/13 (New Zealand) hoping to get back into the RPG world.  I can (sometimes) play during the day on Wednesdays as well as weekends, which might make it a bit easier to coordinate with evening play in other time zones. I own, but haven't yet got to play (past session zero at least) FATE Core, FATE Accelerated, Secrets of Cats and Awesome Adventures (powered by FATE). I was first introduced to RPGs with Basic Set D&D c.1982 and was a regular player and GM in various systems from the mid-1980s to late-1990s.  I mostly GMed a home-brewed GURPS variant in the Palladium Cyberspace and TMNT worlds across different campaigns.  I'm well over D&D and medieval swords and sorcery generally, but could be interested in most other genres.  I've played all sorts from the heavy crunch of RoleMaster, GURPS, Twilight 2000 and Hero System to the featherlight Paranoia and Teenagers From Outer Space, but these days FATE feels like the right balance of strong support for the things that make characters and stories interesting, without getting in the way with too much crunch and book-keeping. I describe my preferred genres as "near now", meaning more-or-less anything from the black powder swashbuckling era to small-scale sci-fi (Firefly and The Expanse, hell yeah; Star Wars and Star Trek (beyond Enterprise, at least), not so much), via the Old West, Steampunk, 1920s cliffhangers, Dieselpunk, Atompunk, Cold War spies, 1980s detectives, Cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic, etc.  I'm not a fan of high fantasy or high magic settings, but don't mind a defining twist in the world-building - Call of Cthulhu, subtle or difficult magic, TMNT, alternate history, time travel, etc.  While I haven't actually played for years, I have always felt connected and kept in touch with the hobby.  I currently have in development a powered-by-FATE world of Zootopia/Animal Crossing/TMNT-style humanoid animals living in a Steampunk-level cold war society on an Earthlike moon of a gas giant with four other potentially habitable moons.  Think Apollo-era space-race crossed with Jules Verne and Edgar Rice Burroughs, if Armstrong and Aldrin were Tom Nook and Rocket Raccoon. If any of that clicks with you, drop me a line.
Introduce yourself!: Mike ( I thought I posted before but couldn't find it so apologies if this is a dupe) Tell us whether you're a GM, a player or both: Yes. GM 90% Play 10%.  Prefer to play. Let us know your time zone so we can coordinate better with games: PST (GMT -7/-8) Running for decades (if it was a RPG from 70's-00's I've probably run it.)  FATE experience: mostly played.  Various settings (Dresden, 30's Pulp, Steampunk, etc...) Systems I tend to lean towards: Traveller, Pathfinder 1E (including 3PP), Dungeon World, Blades in the Dark, Mouse Guard, Champions.  Star Trek/Wars.  But I'll play almost anything.  Currently running Rise of the Runelords. Before that it was a one shot of 2d20 Star Trek. Before that it was Monster of the Week.
Hello, my name is Rey! Player and GM. I've tried to run a couple of sessions of FATE before, and they were enjoyable, but other life things got in the way. I'm on Arizona time (but I'll be on CST next October). Mostly open in terms of times to play (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) are where I have the most conflicts. My genre preferences are pretty broad, but I have a desire to try something out that is a bit more "campy". I really liked the Three Rocketeer No-Skill Swashbuckling rules personally. Thank you for the invite.
Hi there! Thank you so much for the invite... My name is Mal I am a player. One day I would like to be a GM one day.  I am in the Central Time Zone. I have only had one experience with FATE and I didn't even finish the campaign and I was all over it. I even had a "pet" and everything. My favorite characters to play are "ranged" attackers. Anything with a bow and arrow is wonderful to me. Thanks again for the invite. Questions, comments, concerns? let me know...
Hi Folks, I'm a GM, and have been trying to get my head around Fate for a couple of years. I ran a couple of ad hoc sci-fi based games that I pretty much improvised just to get a feel for the game, before moving on to my latest project. I've been converting my long running fantasy campaign to Fate. It's a setting 20 years running.  The biggest challenge has been the magic system. I ran a short, multi-session playtest with my first draft, and I'm making adjustments to what I learned from that. I'm always open to other people's experience and ideas on how to use the Fate system with their groups.
Hello all. Player here. I'm in the EST/EDT timezone.  I have never played Fate before but love the structure and have watched some livestream sessions and some recorded games of it being played.  I am very much excited to be able to play at some point. Hope to talk to y'all soon.
Hello! + Player + Philippines Time Zone (GMT/UTC+8) Mind_Medley here! You can call me either Mind or Medley if you want. I've been playing with dnd 5E for 2-3 years now but I have played a one-shot with the FATE System thanks to a friend and I really want to explore this style of play among others. I do have a job so I'm free on Weekends,   I work  the night shift so I sleep in the morning and am more active during the night. I do have a semi-regular group so I'll do some adjusting if needed. I tend to be creative and more story-driven with my characters, same goes for the actions they take. So let's all have fun!
Hello, Im Jaime I'm a player and USA, Mountain Time. I have been playing FATE Accelerated for about 2ish years and I am excited to play more. I love the creativity and freedom that FATE offers. I am available on weekend all day.
Hello I'm Henry. Nice to meet all you! I've Dmed a couple FATE oneshots but would love to get a chance to be a player for a change. Especially in a long term campaign. I'm in the UK timezone.
Hello. My name is William I'm pretty new to RPGs, so i don't think i'll be DMing for quite some time. My timezone is UTC + 7

Hi, I'm Allie Mae! I'm a player and my time zone is CST. I am a complete beginner at FATE. I've been playing DND 5e for about 7 years and I've dabbled in City of Mist and Monster of the Week. I want to start GM'ing and I'm really interested in the Fate system- But I've never played it before. So I want to find some games I could join as a player to get a better understanding of the system! (Also both my DND games are on hiatus and I need tabletop in my life haha!)
Hello, my name is David.  I live in the CST zone.  I have played several games using Fate and I would like to play some more.
Howdy there, my name is Frances. I'm a first time GM and first time player of the Fate core system. Tossing myself into the frying pan so to speak. I'm on EST, Eastern Standard Time. I've played some DnD 5e games but I've never played fate and I've never GMed, but I'm looking forward to trying both the system and GMing out.
Hi, my name is Tyler. I have only ever played D&D 5e but I am looking to try out some more systems as a Player including Fate Core. I'm in the UK time zone. As for game preferences I do love a range of genres/settings ranging from sci-fi, horror, apocalyptic, steampunk or modern stuff like urban fantasy. I will play fantasy too if it has a cool premise.
Hi, my name is Juan. I have mostly played DnD 5e, but I have also tried GURPS and tried out Monster of the Week. Coming from GMing a DnD campaign and looking to being a player in another system. I am in EST (UTC - 5:00) time. My preferences are for roleplay heavy games, or games with flexible systems. Love horror, sci-fi, and urban fantasy, but I am flexible.
