Imgur interest check

Hey. People on Imgur were interested in starting a campaign. Figured we could meet here and figure out feasibility? -Katie (spocktherabbit)
Well this works pretty well! I'm not sure how much time I'll have but I'd be willing to help people with a game or possibly play a few games over winter break (college sucks up a ton of time).
I'm contacting people about it now. Anyone interested in DMing?
I would like to join the imgur group as a rookie, (not DM) and what times would you play?

I would love to join, never played it before however! Live in The Netherlands so UTC+2 currently, available in the evenings on weekdays/all day on weekends.

I'd love to join up too. I've never played a legitimate session of DND but my friends and I have messed around with 4E and it's always been something that I've wanted to do. My schedule is pretty free, so whenever you guys want to try this. EDIT: GMT -4, available pretty much all days.

I'm so in too, absolute beginner, but I'd love to get started with imgur folk edit; So I'm in the UK (UTC+00) I work weekdays 9-4, but am usually free most evenings/weekends and I have no experience other than playing on a tabletop years ago.
Haha, do none of us have any idea what we're doing? If anything this is going to be hilarious.
Hiya folks, One of the main things you're going to want to include in your LFG posts is the times (including time zone) ,days of play, and what system you're going to use (DnD 3.5, Pathfinder, 5e, etc)

Hi I would love to join. Consider that I have never played anything like that before. (maybe munchkin but that does not count right?) Btw Im from Germany so there could be some time problems.

AAAAAAAAAY I'd lika ta' join (from/via imgur). I'm sort of(?) a beginner. I've played one session of D&D3.5 with my friends which I DMed (Could have worked out better), so I'm sort of up to date with how most things work ( http://i.imgur.com/1bbfWs1.gif ). As it goes with time and schedules and the like, I am usually free around the weekends, depends on the exam prognosis. EDIT: Oh yeah, the timezone; I'm from Sweden, so timezone problems: Might exist.
Depending on days/time I'd be in. I've been trying to find people to play with again for months.
Wow, if we are so many we should make separated post for Europeans and american timezones. Also im interested in D&D 5 (looks like the easiest one) and long term games every weekend. (all the day avaiable)
Im interested! Ive played dungeon and dragons online, but never table top.

(all the day avaiable) Talking to a friend of mine who is really into DnD, he says that as long as you don't go over 6-8 people, everything should run smoothly. But yeah I think you're right, it's looking like we might have to split by timezones
Would anyone mind if I join? I would be a first timer having never played DnD before...
I'd be down, I haven't played in a long time though
alright, who is the DM?
if there even is one, I have done my research on the game (to a small degree :P I kinda know what is what) on DnD
can someone do a link for some character sheets or something?
Don't have a character sheet... how do I make one? (have yet to watch all the tutorials on the main page)
I'm VERRY interested. I've been trying to get into DnD for a while now, but I don't know anyone around me. I almost got into a Pathfinder campaign, made character and everything, but we had to cancel it. Either way, very interested and would be down to DM in the future, obviously not the first game.
Oh by the way, I have an idea for roughly what the map should look like, drew it and everything... shall I go find it?
(it's a world map not a city map)
I can DM is absolutely necessary, though it's been years since I played and I just played the DnD-before-there-were-versions, so I'd need to brush up on this new stuff. regarding timezones: I am in Canada. Seperation may not be need if we stick it in the middle of Saturday, but we can split it up if needed. weekly? Biweekly? What are you guys thinking. After I get home from riding my horses, I will take a closer look at all the responses and see if different groups are needed, ect.
That'd be awesome, I thought the map thing looked quite daunting
alright, keep in mind it does not look too good, i am a bad drawer, ill go find it!

I'm cool with whatever version everyone else feels would be the easiest for this. In terms of time, weekly could be cool, we can try it out, and then adjust as we need to. I do wish I could help more when it comes to the actual game play side of it, but I don't think I could be more of a noob.

I want to play as much as possible, so yeah starting with biweekly sounds great. 5E seems really simple but it also seems almost empty. I'm cool with starting on it but we should think about maybe moving to 4E or Pathfinder if we get into this due to all the source material they both have.
yeah saturdays every time? im thinking somewhere around 3:00 PM perhaps? or today, I reccomend we begin at 3:00 PM
going to upload a little recording to youtube of the world map, sorry if it takes me a minute...
What's your GMT Alex?
I reckon start with 3.5, if you're new to the game it might be a good idea to see if you can find a rulebook online or for cheap. I'd then say download redblade as you can generate a character sheet from there. I would love to join btw, i'm UK and work 8-6 but if it's evenings or weekends i could play. http://imgur.com/user/ArniePye is my imgur face
GMT?
nice to meet you Arnie, mind if I call you that?
Time right now is 22:33 on Thursday (: Nice to meet you also Alex. Arnie suits me fine thank you!
time for me right now is 5:35 pm
2:37 over here estelle!
How will this work with timings?
http://mitga5.imgur.com/all/ the two most recent images are from first to second, the eastern and western hemospheres of the world of Urias Prime, the X is the capital, called Babarosa, the squares represent cities, the circles in the ocean are called the Skarexi Island Nation (all of them are part of it) and the world itself is twice the size of earth, fourth planet from its sun so it is somewhat on the chilly side (I got this shit planned) the brown represents grasslands and mountains, the V shapes if you can see them are mountains, they border all areas of brown.
I'm rather new with the whole tabletop DnD world. But I've RPed on my fair share of MMORPGS and I could try my hand on whipping up somewhat of a GM scenario, depending on what universe people want.
Could keep it classic and play sword coast
Sword Coast? What is that?
Hi! I'd love to join and I'm in UTC - 5:00. d: I've played a few Pathfinder campaigns with a few friends of mine, mostly groups of 3-4, though. I've never played with a huge group like this would probably end up being.
Being what? and I don't think too many people are here...
damn... need to wait 14 min before I can upload the western hemosphere...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baldur's_Gate
how come you linked us to Baldur's gate?
There's around 11-12ish people here (roughly counted). While yeah, it's not a lot, I was just mentioning that because I don't have experience playing with a lot of people.

The Sword Coast is where Baldur's Gate happens and it's also probably one of the most iconic D&D places ever. Also, part of the whole Forgotten Realms lore http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_TguFDEuVoI4/S6vMDAUCUII/AAAAAAAAAsc/_R9u0Kke_eg/s1600/Sword_Coast_North_Map__canon_by_allmynicksweretaken.jpg
huh okay I guess...
