I'm looking to find one extra player for our long standing Saturday group. Due to some scheduling conflicts we are looking to add one more person to our crew of whacky adventurers. This campaign has been running for about four years so I can understand some people being wary of joining a very long running party. However, we are a welcoming bunch and if you like the premise set out below then I hope you will sign up and give us a shot. The current party is at level 14 and is a good mix of experienced players and newbies. For two of the players this was their first ever campaign. Everyone at the table is over 18 and is LGBT+ friendly. Lore Plot: You will find yourself transported to our homebrew World which is set within the age of piracy and within the “new World” of Arda. For the past fifty or so years the Elven Empire has dominated the lands all under the control of the tyrannical Emperor Veron. His authoritarian control has swept across the lands and the Empire now rules not just their own heartland but various other client kingdoms and states. They control most of the trade, they have the largest military and are by far the greatest power seen within the realm of Arda. Yet there are those who are willing to fight back and oppose the Empire. People from all walks of life. Whether they be from violent pirate gangs, noble families from far afield or perhaps a time travelling Rabbitfolk. Our adventurers come from far and wide with one main goal. To end the scourge of tyranny. However, beyond the veil of imperial absolutism also stands a greater threat. One which looms on the horizon and threatens to sweep away the World of Arda itself. A horror from beyond the planes. Something that even the mighty Emperor fears. Do you feel like taking down a corrupt and authoritarian empire? Does your adventurer have the courage to stand up for what is right? Are you ready to fight for freedoms and take down the injustices committed by the empire? If so then you might be what the crew of the Licentia are looking for. Rest of the Group: Our core group is currently made out of: A Harengon/Rabbitfolk Cleric, A Dragonborn Bard/Sorcerer, A Genasi Paladin, A character what was originally a Tiefling (Long story) Monk/Sorcerer. Fyi one other player is on hiatus and will return in a few months but at the moment that is the group Time/Schedule/Rules: Saturdays weekly at 6pm EST where we run for around 6 hours. Our group is LGBT+ friendly. Where all people are welcome no matter their gender or orientation. The game will be run here on Roll20 and via Discord. We are a mix of RP and Combat. I'd estimate 50/50ish. Although we do a fair bit of exploring as well Level 14 Start, one rare magic item or two uncommon ones (subject to DM approval) and the stats will be determined by Point Buy. All standard races and classes are acceptable. (Please note that there are other options for player races such as certain “exotic” ones like Harengon and Genasi etc. So if you have a really interesting idea for a character then please go with it in your form) Me as a DM: I'm generally pretty chill as a DM and am not a hardcore rules lawyer. I am also not a big fan of power play. So, rule of cool over rule of law. Combat should be fun of course but the RP and the characters are what make a game IMO. You need a mix of both when running a TTRPG I've been running this game for around five years and I am a very consistent DM. I usually only miss games if I'm sick or on the holidays. Disclaimers: Given the setting and the game does deal with some topics which some may not be comfortable with. Even if the party are opposed to such things. Topics such as Elven Colonialism and slavery are touched upon. However, let me be clear. We do not tolerate any kind of slurs at the table.
