Hey, sorry for the delay in responding, and yes, that's right. My plan was to use the Mask as magical darkness, which the characters wouldn't know about until they get to the room where the magical darkness is, so I didn't want to be visible until it was within line of sight. But with the new foreground options, I now have a workaround: I can create a black square that's obscured by darkness and that I can turn off conditional fade for. Thanks for your response!
