Hide mask showing outside line of sight

Players or tokens should not be able to see areas of a hide mask that are outside their line of sight (I intend to use them as magical darkness in conjunction with dynamic lighting).

Hi Tara,  Based on your description it appears to be behaving correctly. Ie: the correct behavior is for the Mask to be displaying anywhere you have not removed it.  Mask does not have any interaction with Dynamic Lighting (Line of Sight). It is entirely manually generated.  If that does not describe your issue please let me know and we can troubleshoot the issue.

My plan was to use the Mask as magical darkness, which the characters wouldn't know about until they get to the room where the magical darkness is, so I didn't want to be visible until it was within line of sight. But with the new foreground options, I now have a workaround: I can create a black square that's obscured by darkness and that I can turn off conditional fade for. Thanks for your response!
