Myself and one other player are looking to play some Exalted, but rather than hope to find an ST with no players, it's likely more prudent to find people who are interested and see if we can drum up an interested ST in that manner. As a result, I currently have myself and one other player who are interested in a game of Exalted, starting at 0XP. I am experienced in Exalted as a player, and slightly less so as an ST. The player also interested with me is brand new to the game. We are both long term, experienced roleplayers, however. What we're looking for is flexible, but should likely contain at least the following: a mixed circle (To a reasonable degree that seems fitting; Solaroids/Lunars are the easiest to balance around - most imbalance in Exalted occurs between two Solars anyway) modified Lunar creation (Domino's or Revlid's Terrifying Argent Witches, I suppose) modified Lunar bond (Simple fix; goes both ways. Makes it less... ick.) Some degree of homebrew allowance - based on ST agreement. (We bring it to you, you give a yay or nay with a reason and we're cool.) The direction of the game would be left entirely to the goals players and ST, but I'd personally like somewhat of a focus on the interaction between a mixed circle, and particularly what occurs when Bonds come into the mix, be it external bonds with NPCs, or internal ones between PCs. And more notably, how the dynamic changes when the mate isn't Solar anymore. Beyond that, I'm basically cool with whatever an ST could throw at us for a story. All-in-all, Exalted has a ton of places to tell awesome stories, and a lot of them never see daylight. If you think you have a cool story to tell, you should give it a shot. As for players/ST requirements, we're looking for primarily text-based. Voice is... I guess, possible, maybe? I'd prefer if it was an OOC element though, not an IC element. Good grammar and writing skills are a must. Players and ST should be chill. Drama sucks, and Exalted is a game where ability variance between PCs fluctuates wildly, so in a circle a group of characters will see a bunch of people who are really good at different things. That's how the game should work. Players should be open about helping, or asking for help when they need it - if you feel your character can't find where to shine, perhaps someone else can help you with it. Finally, the ST should be just as open with the players about the game. If it's something the PCs should know, as part of the setting, we should probably know. These sound maybe a little strict or selective, but really, play fast and loose with these - the goal in the end is still for 5-7 people to have fun. Finally, for contact, posts in this thread are a good start - it shows interest and that goes a long way to finding an ST, or even more players. If anyone wishes to discuss things privately, I'm open to PMs, and I have nearly any messenger available upon request. Skype is the most common one I use, however.
