performance issues.

so seemingly over nite i am getting the error message  "we have detected that you may be using an unsupported system or browser, or that hardware acceleration may be disabled due to a setting in your browser or an installed extension." literally nothing has changed on my PC. Ive tried multiple browsers, same thing.  is it because i'm still using windows 10?   i need help.

Hi Jamey! If you have checked that hardware acceleration is active, and you are not experiencing any significant performance issues, you can likely ignore this. The checker tends to be overzealous. However, if you suspect that your performance is being adversely affected, your best bet is to collect a  Console Log ( Chrome , Firefox ) and file a  Help Center Request .

Just to add on to what Keith said....  There is a button to ignore that message and "Don't show this message again", so when you decide to you can permanantly hide that.  It showed up for me too, on Chrome when I got a new laptop (that's better than the old laptop), and Roll20 still works after ignoring it.
i guess i shoulda also said it is extremely lagged out now. i basically cant use roll20 anymore. once again nothing changed on my end.
Spaghetti code at it again...

The same error message showed up for me this morning for the first time, on an M4 MacBook Air running the latest version of Firefox (137.0.2). "Use Recommended Performance Settings" is checked (which enables hardware acceleration), and I have used the same computer and browser, with the same settings, to run Roll20 without encountering the error message. I have not yet noticed any performance problems (knock on wood). My game has the legacy setup rather than Jumpgate, if that makes a difference. (Edit: I am running no extensions.)
