Wednesday 7:30 to 11pm [EST] [D&D 5E 2014 rules] [LFP] [21+ only play group]

Experienced (15+ years) improv style DM seeks players to round out a play group for a high magic dark fantasy campaign. (LGBTQ+ Friendly) Play time 7:30pm ~ 11pm. Age request not for roleplay or subject matter the group just tends towards an adult audience. Starting lvl 3 Homebrew setting and minor mechanical adjustments to character sheet to improve gameplay with easy onboarding. I have experience with high level play and employ additional homebrew spells, classes, and magic items on top of the core source books and select third party source books. The story so far: Jailed for illegitimate crimes the party has incited a jailbreak riot beneath the crimson tower of the blood empress. Escaping the pits of misery at great cost they found themselves in a magical playhouse. Working to overcome the challenges within they have now escaped and prepare themselves to overthrow a tyrant, a thousand years and rivers of blood in the making. Join in the escape, break the shackles of oppression, and find allies along the way as you seek justice from those at the peak of the empire. If any of this sounds interesting to you please consider filling out the following and submitting a copy of it as a direct message and feel free to request additional information. heyo, check us out !! https://discord.gg/eWCM3APs
Hello! I'm one of the players in this campaign, we've still got apps open if anyone is interested in adding to our application pool before we go through the difficult task of selecting someone later on this week. Like stated above, feel free to post publicly here answering the attached questions or if you'd rather send a DM over to Rizdon in private that's super chill too!
Preferred Name: None! (Really as long as it is my character or my Discord name I'm alright!) Preferred Pronouns (he/she/they/etc): He/Him Age: 28 (29 this month) Discord name (feel free to dm if you don't want to broadcast it): Seert Character pitch: A paladin who may have deeper motivations for answering the call. I have not decided on mechanical specifics yet. I have never played a paladin and figure it's about time. What you generally look for in a campaign/playgroup/DM: A fun campaign with PCs that mesh without chafing, and an open and helpful DM. How would you best describe your preferred playstyle: "Rule of cool" is valid - I have, admittedly, been burned by using it at the wrong time in the past so I try to use it sparingly now. Would like a chance to go off the wall and handle consequences again though. Favorite homebrew: I don't really have a favorite when it comes to homebrew, nothing that comes to mind at least. I do like permanent injury systems that could maim a character if critically wounded or downed, and sanity effects as well. Do you have any experience or interest in other TTRPG systems? If so which ones?: Besides D&D5e, I have played Pathfinder 1e, currently in a 2e campaign; I have a couple books on AD&D 2e and know general how to create a character in that system; I'm interested in LANCER (very different) and am a bit curious about WoD and Shadowrun. In your own words briefly describe what roleplay means to you: CYOA but you make the character and it's a little bit more than multiple choice. What ratio do you prefer your three pillars (roleplay/exploration/combat): Roleplay and finding out how the characters react to each other and the world around them is my favorite thing, with exploration being my second favorite if handled properly. While I'll never sneeze at combat, I can't really see myself in a totally combat-focused D&D game. So I'm going to have to say my ratio for the three pillars is probably best described as 5:3:2.
Preferred Name: Loren Preferred Pronouns (he/she/they/etc): He/Him Age: 34 Discord name (feel free to dm if you don't want to broadcast it): ggnappa A pitch for a character you think would be interesting to play mechanics or flavorwise: A barbarian who was found covered in blood in a small village. He has no memory of what happened but everyone in the village was slaughtered. It's hinted that something else was there, but with no other evidence, he was arrested for the murder of the entire village. He's rough but kind hearted. What you generally look for in a campaign/playgroup/DM: A mixture of rp and combat, everyone having a cool moment, and a dm who is willing to have fun but also keep the group focused in the session as much as possible How would you best describe your preferred playstyle: I love rping and have enjoyed epic battles Favorite homebrew you have used or seen before if any (if you haven't that is ok too): My friend made a hero academy who kept evolving the game with homebrew items/classes while trying to balance the power creep Do you have any experience or interest in other TTRPG systems? If so which ones?: I have mostly done dnd 3.5/pathfinder/4/5 and have wanted to try some cyberpunk/space systems In your own words briefly describe what roleplay means to you: Being able to express yourself and try out different ways of being someone you wish to be or learn how to get better at things socially What ratio do you prefer your three pillars (roleplay/exploration/combat):40% roleplay/30% exploration/30% combat
