Is there any way to make a token sit on top of another token? Or select a token thats under another? Because I have mounts and wagons and climbable yet moveable stuff so this would be really helpful. Thanks.
If you right click on a token the choose advance then choose front or back, the token will move to the front or to the back of the z order that all tokens use.
The normal way is by Grouping and by "To Front" and "To Back" commands. All these commands are found when you right-click a Token. You can group it or ungroup it with other tokens or objects. You can shift 1 token "to front" or "to back" (to be under/behind another). Selecting the token that is under can be tricky if you can't see it to click any part of it; when that happens you need to select the front/covering token and say "To Back" so that you can grab what was under it. There is an API method that's more sophisticated. You are Mentor so you can use the API. Check the API forum. I think it's a script called 'carry with' or something like that, made for attaching a Mount or a Torch or a Cat on a token.
they are layers but we can't use the word layers for it, because that term already has another meaning in R20 (Map Layer, Token Layer, GM Layer). To Front & To Back makes something like layers of tokens, within the token layer. Or layers of map objects, within the map layer. To Front & To Back won't change you from Token to Map Layer, but will just re-stack the objects within the layer you are in.
